I believe you can get some views of Seattle from the lower viewpoints on top as well, but the Haystack was honestly the highlight of the whole thing for us. So fun and stunning 360-degree views at the top. I’ve been to very few places where you can see the Seattle skyline, Rainier, Baker, and the Cascades right in your face just spinning in a circle. So cool.

Mount Si trail including the Haystack. Be aware that the Haystack is a class 3 scramble and can be super sketchy when there’s snow.

We got lucky with some fantastic March weather passing through Snoqualmie and decided to hike it on a whim—including the Haystack. It was an incredibly memorable day.

I am firmly in the camp that SF’s problems are and have always been greatly exaggerated by the media. But yes, anecdotally I have noticed some promising improvement in enforcement of our laws this year.

Kerry Park! Highly recommend going up in the evening on a clear day and then wandering over to Marshall Park down the street to watch the sun set behind the Olympics. Then get Molly Moon’s of course.

Snow-covered Rainier is gorgeous, but being able to see the distinct glaciers of the most glaciated peak in the lower 48 is pretty rad too!

We have to be specific now or the Beetlejuice of the SF skyline will appear and tell us why our opinions are wrong.

I'm not sure where the idea of jealousy stems from. Again, I literally live in San Francisco. Lots of other people in this sub think SF has a great skyline too. It's just that when banter crosses into this weird defense-to-the-death crusade over an amalgamation of glass and steel, don't be surprised if people start calling it out. That's all I'm saying.

Checking my post history for two seconds would show you that I live in and post photos of the city all the time. I love SF and see nothing wrong with sharing your opinion, but you’re literally incapable of letting other people share theirs in the comments without “well actually”ing them into oblivion. The entire content matter of this sub is subjective. Just because SF has taller towers doesn’t mean it’s inarguably a better skyline. Chill out.

I love how the mere mention of Seattle makes this guy go absolutely feral. And that’s coming from someone who lives in SF.

Hey no goalpost moving! 😤 You can see it. Look at my other pics if you wanna see Miss Transamerica better.

TECHNICALLY you can see it. It’s the tiny tip above 555 California (big brown boi).

It still blows my mind what I can capture with the 5x camera in panorama mode.

Can't recommend Bernal enough for city views tbh. It's like an island in the sky surrounded by flatter neighborhoods and not as tall as Twink Peaks so you feel more intimately connected to the skyline. Stunning at night as well.

I agree. Fortunately there are a few stalled/planned supertalls around Salesforce that will eventually round out the skyline. We’ll see when they actually get built.

What’s funny is you can actually see the very very top of it poking out above 555 California (the big brown building).
