They weren’t numbered 4 years ago, but I can tell you that I camped at the one that was the furthest in on the right and It was great! It’s a little higher up (There was a huge rock with a cliff) which gave you a little more privacy as it’s a busy lake with people going to see the (other) high falls.

This. Some municipalities require a separate business license to sell certain services from home. There can also be tax implications/nexus with other states or countries depending on who you are doing business with. The home owner probably doesn’t want that liability that providing their address might entail.

Ya that’s my guess. Maybe it was just the perfect storm happening under your raincoat and then once it got exposed to the elements it deteriorated.

I don’t know much about the stuff myself. I’ve only ever used DEET products. But I know DEET can degrade some materials causing dyes to run/transfer and even melt some plastics.

Talk to your insurance company and always do what they recommend. This will ensure that you are meeting your obligations in case you need to submit an insurance claim should something happen/fail. Also, most insurers require that you have someone to check the property if you are away for longer than 7 consecutive days.

If you saw it playing in the water and there were others around, it’s likely an otter.

If it was smaller and solitary, most likely a mink.
