It seems like most issues with hacked/disabled/suspended accounts could be easily resolved by a human case manager when the AI bots fail.
I think most people understand that you are the PRODUCT and NOT the “customer” if you don’t already pay Meta hundreds/thousands of dollars in monthly add spend. So it makes perfect sense why FB doesn’t offer free human support given the large scope of the hacking problem and the cost of employing competent agents.
But there are countless number of accounts being wrongfully disabled that have active engagement with thousands of users. Yet Meta routinely discards users who would be valuable “Products” that both generate content and consume advertising - and naturally would produce revenue and increase profitability.
These accounts are often used for business and/or professional networking but have no need for purchased advertising. Yet the accounts are extremely valuable for their owners and many people would gladly pay for support services to keep their accounts in good standing and to optimize the experience.
So why doesn’t Facebook offer paid support for accounts that don’t buy advertising? Many here would pay thousands of dollars to resolve issues related to hacking or to restore falsely disabled accounts if a legitimate avenue were available. Facebook could charge hundreds of dollars annually for access to such support. It could easily be a profit center for the company. For such a large problem with an easy solution, the lack of foresight is just astonishing to me.
