If I for some reason needed to antagonize someone into a fight, a person playing Careless Whisper on a harp would be at the very bottom of the list, because what on earth is more chill than that

Everyone else is lamely trying to talk me out of it, so I appreciate your support! you know what, I'm going to secondly. And if i can figure out a way to not only get it between print jobs, but in between pages on a singular print job, all the better!

Thanks!

Well powershell isn't really my wheelhouse, it's not something I've really had to use before. So I don't know what that means. My job as a tech tends to be more hardware related, like the 15 kids a day that don't realize they hit the airplane mode button

Print to multiple printers

I wanted to print to a bunch of printers, im the tech at an elementary school, and want to print out "x days left!" every morning. I can print to one printer with

Start-Process -FilePath "c:\Classrooms\test.pdf" -Verb PrintTo -ArgumentList "\\server\printername" -PassThru | %{sleep 10;$_} | kill

but i want it to go through a list of printers just by running one script. I have zero experience with Powershell, and looking around online has not been very helpful, though i did get that far at least.

I would really appreciate your help!

Thanks

edit: turns out I'm restricted from running power shell scripts. first time my access hasn't been high enough. I can run single lines in powershell but not run .ps1

thanks for everyone's help though

Build plate won't move up and down, BUT ONLY WHEN PRINTING (Mars 3)[ Help ]

If i restart and do manual movement, everythings fine, ive moved it all the way up and down, for a few minutes, just to test it out. But as soon as a i start a print, it moves in place to do layer one, then just wont move. I pause or cancel the print, plate still doesn't raise. In order to get it to move after that happens i have to restart the machine. I don't think it's a hardware problem, because wouldn't it also apply to manual raising? but i've also flashed the firmware since, and it still doesn't work, so I'm not sure if there's a software problem either...

Thanks

I did do this job with the national guard, but it was primarily cartel grows on federal forest land using terrible pesticides, etc. whenever we came across a private land grow, the state guys would just shrug or even engage the growers in conversation about it because A) they had cards so it was legal and B) we had a specific goal, clean up and protect federal land.

But the fucking DEA, man, they just had to swing their dumb dicks around and make sure everyone knew they were some hotshot bad boys. There was one guy with a plant that looked like a Christmas tree, and he said he could get 25 pounds a year out of it and it was cool as hell since it was slow process of hybridization to get what he wanted, but the DEA came in, took it, and destroyed it because that's what big boys do... and they were all assholes on an interpersonal and professional level so fuck those guys

I try to impress on my friends the difference. They say "boomers didn't have to work for anything" and I see what they mean but that shuts down the conversation. Boomers absolutely did work hard. The had long hours, broke their backs for physical labor, etc, BUT that hard work was rewarded. So they look at us and see if hard work = reward, then no reward= no hard work. But if you say "you didn't have to work for anything" then they just say we're whiners. If you're willing to acknowledge they worked hard and made sacrifices they may be more willing to see just how much things have changed

I honestly hadn't considered it was written by a victim rather than someone who did these things. That's probably worth thinking about.

What's weird wasn't necessarily that someone was sorting these things out in a journal so much that I found it in a Michaels parking lot

I'm not sure why thinking something is weird means I don't have compassion. There's a homeless guy by my house that I offered some slippers to and and he said "I like my bare feet to connect to the earth" then asked if I thought computers would be around for a while. Both those things are weird but I still grab him food sometimes from the 7/11.

And, I certainly don't have any idea what the guy who wrote this went through, and I don't want you to think this is flippant, this is a sincere question, how much compassion are we expected to have for war criminals? War IS killing and destroying property by definition, so if those are normal in war, then the things that are considered crimes are especially horrific.

I found this note in a parking lot. Since the picture isn't super clear I'll transcribe it:

Guilt, shame, regret make meditation hard!

Unresolved past events. Trauma

War crimes!!

"Nightmares" Mass Killings

Alcoholism= Liquid Bandaid

I'll have to check out feast of legends, but maybe they'll shock us with a whole book of building and crafting rules to fit with the theme. but i sincerely doubt it...

Then again, Wendy's released a 200 page rulebook about 'what if dnd was food' so anythings really possible i guess

Edit: APPARENTLY i am aware of feast of legends. i didn't remember thats what the wendys game was called

Lego themed One-ShotMisc

Lego's got a one-shot coming out on Monday to celebrate their set releasing. What do you all think a lego one-shot will consist of? will it lean into the lego-ness of it, and if so what does that mean? or do you think itll just include the dragon and tavern set?

I'm very much looking forward to it, i have a middle school dnd club I run and may throw that at them

It's not just the amount they make (which is plenty, both my parents work or worked for Lockheed) but the fact that it's one of the biggest suppliers of military hardware in the entire world, so its not just a 'rich girl dressing like a bum' or whatever, but that her parents are likely very conservative and if not exactly out and out pro-war, they know that it pays the bills

Maybe a a large part of those 6 years were dedicated to engine work, and team building, and finding a workflow and structure that worked best, and so the next one will only take 7 years!

This isn't the original, I think this is a response. It originally had some guy i think in the crowd for a show who was acting like something dramatic happened, and they changed the picture to soldiers that matched the gestures and expressions in the original to point out how fucking stupid it is. If you search the words you'll find the original.

So what's the deal with Morph? I always thought his shape shifting was limited to appearance, more an infiltration power than a combat one, and that he's still just soft flesh. Shape shifting bigger muscles can give him more strength but it's still limited to 'normal' human ability. Lady Deathstrike is fine, give himself more keratin or bone for those claws, angel is fine because wings are gonna glide , powered or not.   But he turns into Colossus and tanks a few hits from X-cutioners blaster and staff, and psylockes swords do the metal-on-metal sound and sparks, meaning they're actually real steel. Can he just change the materials of his body? Is he closer to maybe someone like Metamorpho than I originally thought? It's not been THAT long since I watched the original series but I don't remember anything really sticking out like that. Maybe I'll go back to morph stuff and rewatch it

How did Billy trap the lich, then decide that violence can't solve anything? I'm assuming the lich was as bad at that point as he was at any other point. That may have just been how Billy justified it to others. Depression, PTSD, guilt about hurting things even if its morally justified, are all reasons he could have quit, but I don't think "violence never solves anything" is the real reason

Just curious what you're doing with your harengon paladin. I went with a DEX based oath of watchers and now he has like a +14 to initiative, and it's awesome. Did you stick to strength?

AAAAH. I'd feel obligated to go with Cleric. Being able to murder the shit out of everyone with the snap of my fingers, exploding people after i stab them, appear in and out of shadows and run up walls, turn into a bear or T-rex, and get so mad i could survive a fall off a 20 story building all seem cool as shit, but, like, if I'm given the choice and don't choose "close wounds, regrow limbs, suck the cancer or poison out of a person, and even bring people back to life" am I a good person? Humans are already harm-savants, we don't need another one. Besides, its not like i couldn't choose a sick AF cleric anyway that could cover a lot of those other bases.

The chemistry between her and Barry was way better, too. Whether it was character or actor chemistry, everyone seemed to click better with Barry. Patty, Felicity, Linda Park, and even the few flirty-ish moments with Caitlin ("did you peek? its okay if you peeked" when he quick-changed her when she was drunk) seemed way more sincere than i ever got with Iris. but adaptations gonna adapt, and the status quo is Barry and Iris so <shrug> i guess

You can also get it from instant cold compresses. That's what the crystals are made of that get cold when they mix with water. Ammonium nitrate.

I had a lot of theories about geography, alba being swedish, bubblegum frequently speaking german, and even having a german language copy of "Der Witz Und Seine Beziehung Zum Unter Bewussten" or "Jokes and their relation to the subconcious" etc etc, made me believe that Candy Kingdom at the very least was in norther europe somewhere. But there's one thing that absolutely 100% puts it in north america, and thats power outlets. except come to find out japan has similar plugs to the US. But even so, sailing from north america to sweden is way easier than sailing from japan to sweden

sticking to plate AND FEP at the same time, so it just locks up[ Help ]

if i don't pause it for every layer for the first five, it won't be able to life the plate, and will just freeze up. I have to reboot the machine then it will let me manually lift it. The sound it makes as it moves up makes it clear its so strongly bonding to the fep as well as the plate, that it just meets the resistance and gives up. anyone know how i can fix this? starting a print and pausing and playing and pausing and playing for the first 5 or so layers is better than showing up in 3 hours to realize it didn't do anything, but this has only started in the last month or so and I'd like to not have it happen at all

Thanks

*edit: after some thought, the problem does seem to correspond to getting a new resin, anycubic ABS-Like resin pro 2. I hadn't really thought about it before so it may well just be I'm using a resin that needs me to change my settings from what i was using before
