Our Lions will never earn a Bobcat Rank. They will earn a rectangle LION patch and then over the next several years earn 3 square patches for Tiger, Wolf, and Bear. Seems incomplete. Yes, I know they are the last group to get the rectangle... it's special... But I'm not 6.

Not sure how other Packs do this, but the Lions in our Pack start with the Tigers and the Den Leader does double duty until a Lion parent can be drafted to become Leader. So, the Lions completed the Bobcat requirements right along side the Tigers. So, in my mind, I really like blending Bobcat in as an advancement that is age appropriate.

I'll be buying the new Lion patches for the den, as the pack wants to use up the existing supply of Lion rectangles so I'll use my own $15. They earned it. Venting complete. :-) Thanks for listening.
