Sweet. Did you do it in one day or stay at little Yosemite valley for a night and then go?

How bad wad the snow? Do you think micro spikes would be good enough? Or do you need an ice axe?

Thanks! I was considering trying to do half dome and then also doing that first leg of the JMT. What are your thoughts about just trying to do half dome, and do the other parts of the hike later.

Has anybody made the trek? What are conditions like?

Gurl all I feel I need to say here is *I disent * because this argument is so weak.

Firstly where did “forcing meaning” get introduced? The conversation is around sex having meaning to some, and not that this view is forced but a natural result.

Secondly your idea of “religion “ seems highly European centric. As one takes a more wholistic view, one will see the idea of sex being spiritual, divine, and highly emotionally charged universal. This is described in the Kama sutra, it’s true in indigenous tribes in Brazil -> where copulation post pregnancy is a form of bond forged by a mother to gain support for her offspring, it’s also visible in European poetry and writing.

And lastly, to compare a physical act with a video game is insane.

Hey @OP

It’s not easy to have your boundaries tested. And if somebody can’t respect your boundaries during good times, how can you imagine they may be great partners when times aren’t as good.

Not everyone can emotionally detach and be open to non-monogamy. And just because it’s currently en-vogue doesn’t mean it works well for everyone.

It’s important to consider you have standards, it’s important to hold people up to them.

You got this!

I think one question I ask myself is whether this is who I want to be in the future. If you’re okay with taking on these characteristics into other parts of your life in the future, you’re good. If not, you might want to consider if you’re building bad habits?

Just a heuristic.

What kind of activities do you do irl?

Looking for Weight Loss Advice

Hi everybody,

I have almost always been overweight. 10 years ago through crazy dieting/intermittent fasting I lost over 60 lbs. 10 years later. I've gained much of that weight back.

I hit the gym everyday, often twice a day (three times a week) doing HIIT and weight lifting, and am not seeing any change to my weight. In fact, at times I notice that if I miss a day, my weight goes up.

What are some suggestions folks may have about how I can vary my exercise patterns or start following a stricter diet, etc.

Is intermittent fasting my only path back to being lean? Should I stop doing HIIT and move to another workout style?

Thanks.

I recently got a pedicure (for the first time) before going home for the holidays. I debated between getting my nails painted or not, and ultimately thought - it's free - let's do it.

I roamed around my house sans socks, and NOBODY noticed my toe nails were painted - until I told them.

This is not true. It's hard to comprehend what long term impacts are when you're in the thick of things.
