Kawaki while def deserving of more ire is still also in a dark spot even after experiencing his time in the leaf w the uzumaki family. The kid still sees no value in his life or existence beyond using his power to kill the Otsutsuiki. He’s ready to kill him self once this is over. Again kawaki didn’t plan for omnipotence and he was distraught over having to kill boruto in the woods. He obvi still cares and respects Naruto as he stayed put in the leaf for 3 years w hima I stress of chasing after boruto.
His most egregious sin was the lie about boruto murdering the 7th and robbing Naruto/Hinata of 3 years of their kids childhood buuuuut this is the uzumaki fam; boruto seems ready to forgive and Naruto is Naruto (he forgave obito lol)
