I think you might want to talk with your doctor about your estrogen levels and the pain you are feeling, because while trans women can experience certain things related to a menstrual cycle such as mood swings, heavier sweating, migranes, constipation, etc, (due to estrogen levels fluctuating) trans women cannot experience period cramps due to not having a uterus.

What a period cramp is, is your uterus contracting. Your uterus releases a hormone called Prostaglandin, which causes the muscles and blood vessels of the uterus to contract, shedding the inner lining of the uterus and creating a blood flow (period). Without a uterus, that hormone is not produced or released, nor can you experience period cramps.

For people who are AMAB (assigned male at birth), what takes place of a uterus is the prostatic utricle & the bladder. I am not MTF so I cannot speak on the risk factors of FHT/Estrogen therapy for trans women, but as someone who is AFAB and went through HRT/Testosterone therapy, I know there were a lot of risks with it, so I'm thinking what you may be experiencing could be one of the risk factors of estrogen therapy.

I would suggest talking with your hormone therapy doctor & primary care doctor about the pain you are feeling because it can't be period cramps. If it started shortly after you began estrogen therapy, it could be related to that, but please do not brush it off as period cramps when that literally can't be that. Please talk to your doctor about your pain & have your estrogen levels checked.

I hate to break it to you, but you, as a straight white male, get 11-12 months out of the year to be prideful about who you are as a person and to celebrate yourself. America has always favored straight white & cis men over any other culture, demographic, sexual orientation, gender, race, or ethnicity. Straight white men did not have to riot and fight at Stonewall for basic human rights. Straight white men were not hung and killed for sport for generations for the sake of being straight white men. I do agree with you on queer folk being put on a higher pedestal in regards to scholarships, but it's also not that huge of an issue. The most a LGBTQ friendly scholarship can get a LGBTQ person is a slight compensation for funding in regards to school necessities, as most transgender adults also have to pay expensive medical bills, which can be deemed as life saving measures due to the huge impact gender dysphoria can have on an individual. No one should have to choose between a fair education and not being suicidal. I believe that ANYONE who has to go through extensive live saving medical expenses should receive compensation for school, not just queer folk, but I also understand that a lot of schools have that in place kind of as a "hey, I'm sorry our government did that to you a while ago and I'm sorry you still have to live in a day and age where people are still kinda trying to take away your rights" type of deal.

In regards to your property damage concerns for statues who get defaced, I would like you to hold the same standard here. You don't get to say "well what about this!" As a rebuttal to someone else doing something similar towards your own values if you will not hold your own people to that standard. What's to say about all of the statues and satanic temples who get defaced, REGULARLY, where most of those crimimals reside in a church where they pull the funding to weasel their way out of a higher criminal charge? They should serve the same amount of time and punishment as a queer person who defaces a religious statue. There's no difference, and queer people do not think they're exempt from punishment just because they're queer, that's propaganda created by the right wing to paint us all as criminals.

There are not any "special privileges" that LGBTQ folk receive under the law. Find me one article of someone who is gay or transgender, who committed a crime that was unprovoked or not applicable to self defense, who got let off the hook and without any criminal charge or jail time for the sake of them being gay or transgender. Every time he gets called out for stealing samples and claiming the music is his own, he just denies it or ignores it. Tx2 defenders will go "many artists take samples from other artists it's no big deal", but the majority of artists who take samples from other artists, actually credit the sample they took and don't claim it's their own original music, and they most certainly don't DENY that they've taken a sample.

I could name like 4 other popular artists off the top of my head who use the occasional sample from another artist but CREDIT the original artist and include the fact that it's a sample. It's really not that hard.

Well fuck me for sharing my personal experience on reddit I guess, sorry bro. Thought it would be a "haha funny" in a lighthearted sense, but I guess it's not funny because you decided that it wasn't the time or place to share it on reddit, a sharing app, on a post that discusses something similar in nature.

My friends and I were going through lists of actors, actresses, and female & male videogame characters. We were doing "smash or pass."

It didn't hit me until we reached like number 46 that all of the people that I had "passed" on were women or men that looked like women. All the people that I had "smashed" on were men or women that looked like men.

My best friend realized it too and was like "dude, lets have an actual conversation about this" and she pulled up one of the male characters I "smashed" and said "what do you like about him"

I said "he's masculine, and I find him hot"

She then pulled up one of the rare women characters that I "smashed" on and said "well what about her, what made you smash her?"

And I said "I didn't know she was a woman until you told me, but I said smash because she was just as mascline as a guy"

She asked me "now that you know she's a woman, and has female parts, would you still smash?"

She then pulled up one of the men that I "passed" and she asked why I "passed" him.

Here's the other perspective as the partner that vetoed a name and broke up a relationship due to it.

I don't particularly want kids now, but back when I was 16, I had a pregnancy scare with a current boyfriend. He INSISTED that if it were a boy, his name would be "Luffy" because he was beyond obsessed with One Piece. I instantly turned it down because I'm not naming my kid that. I'm not naming my kid after a short-lived hyperfixation, especially from a show that's boring to me that I have little to no interest in. (It's like if POTC and MLPFIM had a poorly animated baby)

He told me that I HAD to name the baby Luffy if the fetus ended up being a boy, so I told him that if it ended up being a boy I'd abort it if he was going to force me to name it that. I knew that it would more than likely end up being a boy because boy moms run very heavily on my dads side of the family, I am the only girl in my family other than my mom and grandmother.

We broke up the day after that argument. A couple of weeks went by, and I took another test, and it came back negative (thank god). I haven't talked to him since letting him know 3-4 years ago that the test was negative. I offered to get back into a relationship with him because I was 16 and didn't know better, but he refused because he had his heart set on the name "Luffy" and what I said about abortion bothered him.

I asked him what he would have named the baby if it ended up being a girl, and his response was "I don't want a girl and won't ever have one", so that was that and I blocked him.

Those gay men are just transphobic, and I'm sorry that you had to hear the harsh bullshit they spew.

I can understand a gay cis man not being sexually attracted to trans men due to the difference in genitals, but genitals do not make you any less of a man and they shouldn't treat you as anything less or something "gross".

There are ways to politely decline people you are not sexually interested in, but there's no excuse for making fun of someone's body or the vessel they were born in because that's something that cannot be controlled or changed at the snap of a finger. It's not up to gay cis men to dictate what gay trans men do with their bodies, and they certainly do not have the right to have an opinion on it or comment on the way that they look for the sake of them being transgender men.

I personally am not sexually attracted to trans men, but I would never go out of my way to make fun of, demonize, or shun a trans man or call them any less of a man. Genitals do not make up who you are at your core, and that's something that cis men and gay cis men need to drill into their thick skulls. I love my trans brothers, and I will always do my best to uplift them and make sure to remind them that they will always be men, even when the outside doesn't match the inside.

You are not invading their safe space because you are a man who loves men. You fit into that category, and no one should tell you otherwise. It's okay to have a sexual preference, but it's not okay to demonize trans men just because you aren't sexually into them. The sooner cis queer folk learn that, the better.

Unfortunately, I don't think there's much you can do if the dog is pretty old. What your dog is going through sounds like Parvovirus. Throwing up bile and blood in the stool is a huge sign towards intestinal/liver/gallbladder infection.

If it is Parvo, the best the vet could do is give your dog IV fluids, IV electrolytes, anti-nausea medication, anti-inflammatories, de-worming medication, and antibiotics to help cure the infection and prevent sepsis. In worse cases, there is the option for plasma transfusion as well.

With the dogs' age in mind and a rapid decrease in weight and energy, I'm going to assume that the vet will offer to put the dog down instead of pursuing treatment due to the cost and what your dog will have to fight through. Until the infection or issue is cleared up, your dogs stomach will still be irritated and will still have trouble keeping down food and water. This would make giving your dog the medications it needs to digest in order to survive longer a huge issue, as he can't keep anything down, resulting in IV medication treatment or injections which are highly expensive.

I would still suggest encouraging your parents to take your dog to the vet, just to see what's going on, but if the turnout is that your dog has something that will require an intense amount of effort, money, and energy to pull through, it might be better to let him go than to watch him suffer to survive. Sadly, pets cannot last forever, and his last days should be spent doing something he enjoys with you, someone who loves him, rather than being hooked up to IV tubes and pumped full of meds just to keep his body alive.

It's never easy to let go of a pet, I just recently lost my childhood cat to diabetes. He was 18, couldn't keep down food anymore, couldn't control his bowels & having diarrhea, was throwing up multiple times a day, severely underweight, drinking so much water and then throwing that up, etc. The vet said that insulin injections or oral medication wouldn't do him any good at that point. He was just too old and couldn't fight anymore, and we wouldn't have been able to keep up with the cost of his medication. It would have just been putting him through more pain and something new he had to fight and adjust to while simultaneously draining us financially, only for him to MAYBE live another year or two. So, we had to make the decision to put him down so that he wouldn't be in pain anymore or be forced to suffer more. It was hard to do, and there are still some days where I ask myself if I could have done more, but the last thing I wanted was for my kitty to be in any more pain, and that realization hits me like a brick any time I feel regret for letting him cross the rainbow bridge.

Before you make the decision to get your dog treated with medication for whatever it is that he has, make sure that you're doing it for the right reason. Do it if there is actually a genuine promise for him having a greater future without pain, not just a hope, but a definite "yes" that he can recover. Ask yourself if it would just be putting him through more pain for the last few years of his life or if it is something that would actually help him. The hardest part is separating your wish for keeping him alive from what is best for your dog. You have to think about the pain that he's in and the pain he would have to face in recovery due to his age over anything else, because that is the most important thing, making sure your dog is happy and healthy, not just "alive".

I would say that you don't have to tell a person unless you're talking with your doctor about a medical issue or pursuing someone sexually :)

For the medical field, there are increased risk factors for certain medical conditions that are dependent on your assigned sex at birth. One thing that I had to realize is that I had to share my previous experiences with hormone therapy with my eye doctor because people with higher testosterone levels have an increased risk for cataracts ! There's also the increase in risk for heart problems, cholesterol, etc. I always have to share my previous medical transitions with my doctors simply because I know it will ensure I'm getting the best treatment based on how HRT changed my body. Even without medical transitioning, it would be smart to share it with a doctor that you trust who is treating you because of those assigned sex at birth related treatment differences. If you're going in for a medical issue that has increased risks on the basis of being AFAB, but they think you're AMAB, your could be treated lesser/differently than you actually need to be based on your medical issue.

For pursuing sexual relationships, it would be courteous to let the person know who you are sexually pursuing what you are working with. Some gay cis men are not open to dating/sexually involving themselves with trans men simply because they aren't attracted to the equipment, which is perfectly okay. Everyone has their own sexual preferences and limits, it would just be better to let the person know ahead of time in the case that they find out and get upset that you didn't tell them beforehand. Some people can see it as you "leading them on" if you involve yourself with them but turn out to not have the parts they are attracted to. It doesn't mean that someone see you as any less of a man or think less of you if you're up front about it, it just being open and transparent with someone that you are planning to have an intimate relationship with so everyone is on the same page in regards to sex.

As for random strangers and acquaintances you meet, it's completely okay not to tell them that you're trans. It can also just be to prioritize your safety. You don't know if some random person that you meet who's asking you if you're trans is transphobic.

Trans women led the march, a black trans woman. Marsha P. Johnson specifically. She started the actual stonewall riots in 1969, and became the leader of the LGBTQ movement in New York for 25 years.

The LGBTQ community has become more and more separated and filled with discourse as time goes on, and you can't say anything about it without getting downvoted or called a "Blaire White/Kalvin Garrah" dick rider.

It's no longer having more diverse ideas and being more accepting than straight & cis folk, as someone that's been in the gay & transgender community for 6 years now, it's just become like a club where other people constantly try and one up each other and shut down anyone that gets in their way. (This issue is specifically towards younger queers. Older queers never act like this)

Being LGBTQ isn't enough anymore. People have created microlabels for microlabels. Being transgender or non-binary isn't enough, so people created xenogenders so you can identify as non-human genders. He/they/she/it isn't enough anymore, so neopronouns and xenopronouns like bug/bugself/star/vamp/bonk/bonkself/mushroom/mushroomself were added. Basic labels like bisexual, pansexual, aromantic, asexual, gay, those aren't enough anymore, so new labels were made like greyasexual, cupioromantic, omnisexual, etc.

People try and create new labels that already share the meaning of the originals because they can't comprehend that the original labels are a SPECTRUM. Sexuality and gender are a SPECTRUM. They go "well, I'm bisexual, but I'm more fem leaning, so I'm going to create a whole new sexuality for fem leaning people who are bi and use that label" which is only further diversitzing the community and separating everyone into microlabels that aren't needed.

That doesn't even get into the fact that you can't call out a single flaw in the LGBTQ community without being labeled as homophobic or transphobic. There was a WIDESPEAD PANIC about a non-binary 14 year old who got on Twitter and was trapped in a delusion where they wanted to use a litter box as a bathroom and demanded it exist in school bathrooms. This tweet made fucking NATIONAL HEADLINES and gave conservatives a whole new thing to demonize the transgender community for. The same 14 year old came onto tiktok a couple of years later and went, "Sorry guys, I was just being silly," as if it didn't drastically affect the transgender community.

That type of shit is what gives the right wing more fuel to take away our rights. There are trans people who are just trying to live their lives peacefully, and these younger chronically online queers are ABSOLUTELY putting a dent in it. Identifying as fucking animals, IRL characters, having a full blown tantrum over being accidentally misgendered, it makes EVERYONE look bad.

The LGBTQ community was once a place of acceptance, where you could be who you wanted to be within reason and exist inside an accepting community. You can't throw a single opinion or fact their way without starting a war in the community because anything they disagree against will be deemed "homophobic" or "transphobic."

There's the whole issue with bisexual and lesbian erasure in the community as well. Demonizing bisexual folk because insecure people will think that makes them twice as likely to cheat. Saying that the boyfriends of bisexual women aren't allowed at pride events. Trans men, AKA MEN, trying to identify as lesbians and wash the actual meaning of women loving women. People are constantly trying to change sexuality labels to fit their own identity when those labels don't exist to cater to their identity. Then there's also the issue of gay men having an issue with trans women using womens restrooms, when trans women were the folks who fought AT STONEWALL so that GAY MEN can also have rights and freedom and built the LGBTQ community brick by brick.

You don't need dysphoria or any kind of discomfort with your assigned sex at birth to be trans anymore either apperently, you can just transition for the fuck of it if you're bored. That's the new rule since 2019, and because of that idea getting abolished, there have been so many more detransitioners popping up, because people listened to that bullshit and later on realized "huh I actually don't want to do this, I didn't have an actual reason to do this, I was just a pre teen who was insecure and thought that was what being trans was because that's what I got told by Tiktok"

After like 2010, the community went absolutely downhill. No one wants to point it out or discuss it out of the fear of being labeled as transphobic or homophobic. But as someone who is queer, that is trans, and has been in the community for a good 6-7 years, I'm allowed to point out its flaws. It's no longer as accepting as it was, and I don't associate myself with the majority of it.

There's a location down by weeki watchi springs that's kind of like a mini-park. They've got a couple of waterslides, a mermaid show, snack bars, gift shops, lots of free lounge chairs, and even a tube rental where you can rent an inflatable tube and go down the river. I can't do it. it's the same issue I have with pads. To me, it's just like having a bunch of period blood rubbing back up against your parts all day, to me it's disgusting.

Maybe it's just because I have a heavy flow, but I just can't do anything but a tampon. It's absorbant, it's quick and easy to use, you don't smell it, and your inner thighs, puss, and ass don't get covered in blood, no leakage if you change it correctly and use the right size.

Pads for people like me with a heavy flow are a no-go. I have to constantly worry about leaking out of the pad, if it's leaked through my underwear and clothes, THE SMELL of the collection of blood is strong and everyone WILL and DOES notice it if you have a heavy flow and haven't changed it yet. It feels like you're wearing a diaper while all your fluids just wash right back up into your folds, I can't do it.

The period underwear is basically just a pad that you can throw in the washer, I also wouldn't feel comfortable washing it with my other clothes so I'd be doing an entire washing and drying cycle just for period panties. Tampons for the win.

One thing that I will say firmly, though, is that he should not be going to a female tattoo artist if this is an issue for him. Men are more forgiving towards male "issues." Personally, I feel like your buddy should know that a tattoo is not intimate. There is a difference between intimate pain and regular physical pain. If he is making it sexual in his head, he is the problem, and a tattoo artist shouldn't have to deal with tattooing someone with a hard on and being uncomfortable simply because he doesn't know how to not make something that isn't sexual, sexual.

If he goes to a female tattoo artist that isn't okay or comfortable with it, he's running the risk of having his tattoo half finished and being forced to work with another artist at a later date. I would also 100% discuss it beforehand with the artist in question so that they are fully prepared for what they are walking into. Not every artist will be comfortable with that.
