The War That Saved My Life by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley
Hypnic jerks are caused when one part of the brain tries to go to sleep more quickly than other parts of the brain. They're normal.
I'm glad it's helping you. What dose are you on?
Yes, it happens to me before getting a migraine.
I agree that it sounds like OAS.
I've noticed this. If I read longer it interprets that it took me longer to fall asleep and my sleep score suffers. I find it annoying.
I've been on 10mg for about a month. I've experienced low motivation and apathy, but surprisingly it went away less than a week ago. I've heard of more people having mood issues. Ymmv
What digestive issues did you have?

My husband does this. We're both autistic.

I've partially lost my appetite on amitriptyline but I haven't lost weight. Ymmv
How much is she on and for how long?
I have oral allergy syndrome. It's not anaphylactic but many many foods are out for me. I need to travel for work a couple of times a year and I can say that I feel your pain. It's so poorly understood by others. Having to explain things again and again is exhausting.
I've been on 10mg for a month for migraines, but I might need to quit. I feel demotivated and apathetic, but this is a rare side effect. I think you should give it a chance.
