Your timing is perfect; I just picked up a physical copy a few days ago. I haven't started it though because I also picked up the gargantuan A Little Life. I'm surprisingly reading through it pretty fast though, so I should be able to start Sower in 1-2weeks! :)

Did you personally annotate and/or highlight a lot? I'm not sure how often I'd highlight using different colors, but I think that option is nice to have.
These are all great points. I'm so tempted to buy one, but hearing people get it and then find enough reasons to return it prevents me from taking the plunge. I'm OK with thebrighter lights/higher battery usage but the washed color and contrast as you mentioned make it seem not worth it.

Thank you for responding! Makes sense. It’ll be dedicated to work, so emailing, typing documents and note taking, communication through Slack, etc. I guess my main concern is comfort and durability. Is it comfortable to read on (with the right light setting) and (because you have to use more light to offset the dark screen), does the device itself last long (through the day, years, etc.).

Agreed. Reading about the psychological effects and the average decrease is attention span is legit scary. Funnily, I know actual psychologists who have an account and don’t see using it regularly as a big deal. It’s insane!

I plan to become friendly with other workers on the team and ask them, but that will take time I feel (don't want to cause trouble by being nosy about their wallets).
But in the meantime I'll definitely be calling the insurance company and talking directly to the intuitions involved. Some of these terms (such as fiduciary), I wouldn't have even thought to find out about. Thank you very much.

I absolutely agree. For example, I'm depressed right now and just abhor having the live life. But I am going to do it because I don't have the guts to off myself and my family is not going to let me wither away (nor do I feel comfortable having someone pay for my existence while I do nothing; I wish I could not care though).
They suggested I go to therapy before starting work, school, etc. But that's literally pointless because I will get a job eventually (and try my best to keep it). Trying to feel good while job searching/working/etc., especially if there's no real threats of offing myself, sounds like a huge waste of time/effort.
