I’m confused about the downvotes on this one, as far as I can tell you said the same thing as everyone else about sound and consistency and context?

Ew my brain mixed that up and read ‘sperm tasting party’

That’s all reality tv show stars in a nutshell.

Why would they want to push Ariana out? They just wanted to capitalise off scandoval drama and attention and get some dramatic emotional Ariana v Tom scenes. They weren’t trying to redeem him, they just wanted to make it seem more natural that he’d still be hanging around and to do that they had to have the cast give him the time of day.

Yeah I think it looks obviously AI at a glance. It just has that AI quality. Like you can’t imagine everyone moving after the photo is taken and going back to what they were doing before. It somehow captures the fact there’s no before or after. I don’t know how to explain it but my brain registers it as ‘wrong.’ And there are AI photos that I can’t tell immediately, it’s just this one seems very characteristic of AI somehow.

I think this one looks quite AI at a glance. Not sure if I can pinpoint why but it looked wrong to me just looking at it. Something about the quality/smoothness of the faces and the ‘movement’ in the photo and the depth seem off.

It was unbelievably gross and arrogant IMO that they didn’t just let someone else take over to finish the series properly, with a few more seasons. Fair enough if they wanted to do other things, but why not hand it off instead of destroying it? Unforgivable.

I think they could try doing one meta season as a kind of experiment in reality tv. I think it could be interesting and someone should do it at some point so why not them? A lot of these shows start off around a theme (working in a restaurant/boat/whatever) and then the fact they get famous and have people online judging them all the time influences their behaviour a lot and eventually the shows seem silly when they keep trying to pretend the show itself isn’t a massive part of their lives.

It might not work but I definitely think they should try and VPR seems the best show at the moment to try it with.

They could have several different actresses play Meredith in one movie and that would capture her better than just using one!

Also just wanted to say it wasn’t obvious my daughter had poor eyesight, like she would look at you when you came in the room, smiled if you smiled at a distance etc, appeared to be able to see things.

I guess it depends what you want from reality tv. If it’s well rounded mentally healthy people treating each other with respect while doing banal activities like water tasting or bowling then they’re all the worst. Good people don’t get cast on reality shows. Sandoval is a terrible human being but he did his job for the show and that was doing terrible things like cheating on Kristen and being awful, cheating on Ariana and covering it up with the Miami girl thing, doing delusional narcissistic stuff that’s funny to watch like his band and all his weird dressing up etc and then the piece de shit de resistance of cheating with Rachel raquel whatever she goes by now. The truth is he made Bravo money by being an asshole. Unfortunately that’s what everyone on Bravo is doing because people like watching assholes for some reason!

Does anyone have any theories as to why most of the people on Bravo are criminals or associated with criminals? Like if you picked random people off the street you wouldn’t end up with nearly as many criminals as Bravo seems to deliberately choose to give lots of money and attention to.

Even more suffering would be alleviated if more existing humans were capable of compassion and empathy.

If no one has kids then what happens to the existing humans? The suffering would be insane if no more humans were born. So in one way having a kid is not selfish it’s helping provide more hopefully good people for the future. You can look at this is many ways and there’s no one right answer.

What has logic got to do with any of this? We’re creatures doing what creatures do. It’s not meant to be logical.

Then surely with that line of thinking anything that happens to any of us isn’t our fault because we didn’t choose to be born. So the mother in this situation wasn’t at fault, her parents were for having her and she had autism and didn’t know how to take care of herself so got taken advantage of by an older man and had a kid she didn’t know how to look after - all that was her parents fault for having her, and they didn’t choose to be born either so I guess their parents are to blame? Is this Original Sin you are talking about?

That stuff has always been around. Human life is about trying to salvage moments of joy in the midst of endless planetary suffering. Are you saying the human species should just eschew the laws of nature and die out?

Also if you go on about how wonderful it is people get annoyed and want you to shut up. I think people actually prefer/feel more comfortable around people who are complaining about something rather than revelling in how joyous their life is. Plus when things are tough, complaining and venting helps. When things are great there’s not such a need to talk about it.

The first time my kid came and asked me for a ‘cuggle’ aaaahhhhhh, there’s nothing like it. Seeing a human being go from a little sleepy blob to figuring out their limbs and making sense of the world is endlessly fascinating. And the love hormones that are like drugs.

Also it gets better and better, especially when they start talking and understanding you, you’re gonna love it!

No I love it more than anything. It is brutal. It is the hardest thing I’ve ever done physically mentally and emotionally but every single day my daughter does something to amaze me or is amazed by something I’d forgotten was amazing. So every day I am guaranteed some sort of wonder or awe or beauty. Yeah it’s hard work and there have been days I don’t know how I’ll physically cope (sleep deprivation) but what more could I ask for in life than to experience love and joy and wonder and a sense of purpose every day?

It’s difficult to understand it if you haven’t been through it. I never got it when people would say it’s the hardest thing they’ve ever done but the best thing. I get it now! I guess it’s a bit like when people climb Everest or cycle across the world or swim the English Channel or something. The experience can be gruelling and there’ll be times you feel you can’t go on but it’s worth it because of the sense of accomplishment and the memories and the beautiful view. Except it isn’t just accomplishment, memories or a view, it’s a person. Which is even better!

Urgh it’s just so embarrassing for these people. When they emerge from puberty they’re going to look back and cringe!

That makes it funnier that people think Ariana just started a legitimate broadway career.

Yeah it seems like all reality shows are now about drama and fighting so they all have to air every little grievance or criticism that in real life you’d let slide as it’s seen as the job to create dramatic things. It is boring when it’s artificial like that and I do think people actually enjoy watching genuine friends have fun together but these people aren’t real genuine friends with each other at this point so without fighting they don’t have much to offer. Reality shows are much better when they have real friends who know each other and hang out off camera.
