I mean, that wasn’t technically brought up. But, he did say it was because of him, we made it out of the disastrous Covid situation in as good a shape as we did. He didn’t directly pass the blame during the debate to someone else for Covid. But, didn’t he at one point during the pandemic claim it was Obama’s fault? Maybe not Covid itself, but his own administrations terrible response to it and the terrible management of supplies- that was all Obama’s fault.
I’m not so sure that “44 people who won’t vote for him is accurate”. Not many of them have actually said they wouldn’t vote for him. Some of them have said Trump is unfit for office. But, in good conscience, couldn’t vote for Biden… like Bill Barr. Heck, even the ones that claim they won’t vote for Trump, support him in some way, shape, or form. Mitt Romney claimed “no, no, absolutely no”, but later said if he was in President Biden’s shoes, he would pardon Trump.
I wouldn’t trust this lot as far as I could throw a stone. We don’t even have to make up hypotheticals about what Biden “could have”. Even though the debate was not a great showing for him, he was still a whole lot better at answering the questions than Trump. Everything Trump said was a lie. So, yeah… Anyone with half a mind ought to see Biden is still a better option.

And that’s what I said. Vehicles must yield to pedestrians at marked crosswalks and intersections with unmarked crosswalks. As it’s stated in Subdivision 2- Rights in Absence of a Signal. “Where traffic signals are not in place or in operation, the driver of the vehicle shall stop to yield the right-of-way to a pedestrian crossing the roadway within a marked crosswalk or at an intersection with no marked crosswalk. The driver must remain stopped until the pedestrian has passed the lane in which the vehicle is stopped.” And, “No pedestrian shall suddenly leave the curb or other place of safety and walk or run into the path of a vehicle which is so close that it is impossible for the driver to yield.”
And Subdivision 3 talks about pedestrians crossing in areas not marked with a crosswalk or intersections without marked crosswalks.
So yes, you need to yield to pedestrians at marked crosswalks, or intersections with unmarked crosswalks. However, if someone steps out in an area that is not a marked crosswalk or intersection with an unmarked crosswalk, and gets run over… Well, that’s on the pedestrian.
The law is that cars must yield to pedestrians where there is a marked crosswalk, or at an unmarked intersection. No pedestrian shall leave the curb or place of safety to walk or run in front of a car that is so close they can not yield.
So, if you decide to mosey on out in front of a vehicle… which I see all the time… that is coming and can’t stop quick enough. Well, you probably shouldn’t have done that. But, yes. If the vehicle is a mile away and can see you crossing, they should probably stop when they get close and not run you over. Because that would be against the law.
