A bit like what happened with Helldivers recently. I think people would revolt and the developers would back pedal.

Minecraft nostalgia mixed with IRL sentiment is just another league isn't it. Make sure this is backed up externally!

Going to second (third? fouth?) that just a bit of life to the wall will transform this. Everything else is spot on for me.

Here in the UK we can only order the fern in base spec with no Lumbar. Missing the lumbar on my Leap I feel like thats half the battle as to why I'm not getting on with it!

It is the highback. I got it for £70 so can't really complain.

Thanks for the input anyway I appreciate you taking the time!

Its a 2003 build so I would assume a V1? Its relatively creaky and old but feels solid. I definitely think it would benefit from the lumbar but cant seem to find the part in the UK!

Yeah I think its just because I'm obviously comparing to say the secretlab which does a full laying recline with a headrest. The recline isnt too bad but I find without a headrest I find reclining in the Leap just forces my head forward

Haworth Fern

I had thought of this after seeing some comparisons to the embody. I do like the idea of forward tilt too (I like that on the aeron)

Going mad trying to find the perfect chair! Opinions please.

28, M, 180cm, 80kg. Currently have horrible swayback/forward head posture which I would like to correct. Going to the gym regularly. I have previously liked 'gaming chairs' purely because I like to kick back and relax at my setup - I live out of one room at the moment so no space for a sofa or alternate seating.

I've tried so many different chairs and never settled on anything. Down below I will detail all of them, in hopes that someone out there has faced a similar predicament and can give me some insight!

  • SecretLabs Titan 2020 - Thigh support too steep - backrest good though. I love the deep recline and the ability to lay down.
  • Secretlabs Titan 2022 - Hated the back support, but the thigh support had been fixed.
  • AndaSeat Kaiser 3 Pro - This had a much nicer seat cushion, but provided no upper back support. Felt like I was always hunched over which harms my problem further.
  • Corsair T3 - Very firm but kinda liked it. Not much adjustment but almost feel like that is better for my dodgy spine
  • Ikea Markus - Enjoyed this for a few years, but started to fall apart. Arm rests terrible and I removed them. Lumbar could have done with height adjust.
  • Orangebox Do - We use these at work and I like them for productivity, but again I always miss the headrest for kicking back.
  • CURRENT - Stealcase Leap - picked this up used (unfortunately without lumbar pad) and I like its flexibility, But I find myself fidgeting in it all the time, and again, when I want to kick back and relax, because it doesnt recline far enough, I find myself slouching in really bad positions.

This is so frustrating, I wish I could find something that will let me be comfortable both sitting up to work and laying back to relax. The ROG Destrier looks like a good hybrid but very expensive for what it is. I know the ideal would be to get something like an aeron, but again my problem is I dont have the space for a relaxtion chair so I need a hybrid!

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Just spent 3 hours troubleshooting with every other thread on reddit to get this to work on MW3. This was the solution! Had to comment just to say thanks a bunch!

I'm pretty much in the same boat. Tried a Titan and love the recline, but found it too firm overall. Then tried an andaseat kaiser 3 pro, which was better but the backrest didnt have enough upper support for me which made my posture worse. I'm currently using an old Leap V1 but not having proper recline and headrest is driving me mad.

Got my eye on the ThunderX3 Core, can get hold of it here in the UK but no full recline.

Impressive work, thanks for the multiple solutions. I'll have a play around!

This is accurate enough for what I wanted it for, thanks very much!

Datebetween - YY/MM FormattingFormula

Total Notion noob here - trying to create an asset database for IT equipment, effectively what I want is to see the age of a device when we decommission it from use. I'll show you what I have currently, extensive searching of google and reddit has led me in circles. It shows the amount of days old, I want it to display in the format YY/MM, for example, below I would like it to display as '6y 10mo'

Thanks in advance!

I will have to check that out. I'm still keen to see the Kone Air Pro too. I've pretty much decided that the MX Master 2S is the ultimate ergo shape for me, but can't find the lightweight, fast sensor gaming equivalent.

Im currently using a G Pro Wireless, the buttons and scroll feel right to me and I'm happy with the weight, although being an ambi mouse I have to use more of a claw grip which gives me fatigue after a while. I prefer the resting shape of the Prime in palm, but the horrid scroll and the pressure from the hump makes it uncomfortable for long sessions. Honestly I'd rather stick with logitech because I have a keyboard from them that I'm really happy with (G513 Linear) and the software plays nicely. I considered a G305 lightspeed after using a friends because that was pretty comfy. The G502 is probably a good call but too heavy and old for me now. And the roccat kone pro air I have yet to try, might see if they have a display model in a store near me.

I'm reluctant to go back to razer, because the software annoyed me and the 'razer hump' wasnt comfy for me. That being said I'm going to borrow a deathadder just to see how I get on with it. TL;DR, G Pro wireless is pretty tolerable and functionally nice to use, but I'm still searching for the right gaming ergo.

Picked up the Prime wireless, quite keen on the shape but still puts pressure on my hand in the same way the razer does. The size is more appropriate than the much smaller basilisk however.

Thanks for the heads up, if I go for one I will hold out for the black. It seems OCUK are the only retailer in the UK that does the MDW ?

I've heard excellent things, but just not convinced about having a mouse with the honeycomb!

Edit: Just tried a G203 (bought as a gift for my friend) and liked the more ambi shape as I feel I could palm it better. Although still a little small.

MX Master user seeking comfy gaming mouse

Time to ask the experts. I currently daily an MX Master 3 (although sometimes switch back to the MX Master 2S for the slightly lesser hump). I pretty much have all logitech stuff. I'm looking for a mouse with faster response and lighter weight for gaming. This is gonna be a long one, because I'm a nerd that loves doing lots of research. So if you're annoyed by fussy people click away.

My basic requirement is comfort. I'm mainly a palm gripper but occasionally move to a relaxed claw. Large-ish hands at 19.5cm x 11 cm. I'd obviously like something lighter than the MX master, but I would be uncomfortable with something too light, would be too much of an adjustment.

I like the ergo shape of the MX master 2s because it doesnt put any pressure on my hand, besides the MX Master 3 being slightly too tall and digging into where my palm joins the fingers. This seems to be a big problem of mine, the pressure at the base of my fingers causes lots of fatigue, I have the same issue with the PS5 dualsense controller, it puts too much pressure on these joints.

What I've Tried:

  • Razer Basilisk Ultimate - I like the shape and the selection of buttons. Missed the logitech fast scrolling. Annoying this isnt on the ultimate since they brought it to the V3. The 'Razer hump' presses into my joints too much and makes my hand hurt. Also slightly too small for a comfortable palm for me. Not too keen on the Razer switches either. The weight is okay for me. I'm guessing that I might get on with the G502 a bit more as its the same shape with less of a hump, but I think it will still feel too small for me to palm. Its considerably smaller than both MX masters.
  • MX Master 3 - Obviously too heavy and too slow of a poll and sensor for proper gaming. I like the ergo shape and the way my hand feels relaxed in palm grip. I can hold it for hours without any cramps
  • Intellimouse - Not used it for a long time but I remember liking the ergo/ambi hybrid style, so open to this as opposed to an ergo mouse.

What I've looked at and researched:

  • G Pro Wireless - Like the look of it and would like to stick to Logitech, but seems a bit too small for me to comfortably palm.
  • G502 Lightspeed - Pretty much the same shape as my Basilisk which is slightly too cramped, I like the hyperscroll and the DPI buttons but double clicking issues and size put me off
  • Deathadder - Like the look of the shape, but prefer the buttons on my logitech mice to on my razer one, so that puts me off the deathadder.
  • Steelseries Prime - Like the look of the large shape, hate the cramped M1/M2 buttons
  • Roccat Kone Pro Air - Really like the look of the shape of this one, But the price is high for limited features, and I have no experience with the brand
  • Glorious Model D Wireless - Annoyingly not available yet in the UK, and I don't like mice with holes personally, but the reviews are great and the shape looks nice for larger hands so it seems an interesting option.

I'm open to suggestions. I've only had the basilisk a few days but not getting on with it due to the pressure on my joints and the slightly too small body. I wish we had a store here in the UK that had a big selection of stuff to try. Thanks in advance for any feedback, would be awesome to hear from people that find the MX Master comfy to get input on a gaming alternative.

Can't get the hyken here in the UK unfortunately. I did look into it as it is mentioned a lot and well reviewed !

I have private healthcare with Bupa, and have been both through them and the NHS (UK). I was assigned physio as well but they all tell me the same thing - strengthen the muscles and exercise regularly.

I've heard decent things about the SecretLab series. Which one is it you own and what are your thoughts on it ? What chair did you come from beforehand?

I appreciate the suggestions.

I have, hence the many years of chiropractic therapy and physio etc. When asking for chair recommendations, different doctors/chiropractors often have very different ideas. I was more hoping that I would find someone on reddit in a similar position to myself that may have some insight. Thanks for the concern though. Wish I could just magic it away but such is life!
