Ed.. Edward?
I just started my son on FMA. I’m so excited to get to Nina and see if my son’s a monster or not. Also to impose some emotional scarring with minimal effort.
You bastard! I like the hustle.
A few more steps and then you can get him started on Berserk
Straight from a sip of wine to methamphetamines I see
Ah yes, Berserk, the meth of manga 🤣
The Eclipse gave me nightmares for weeks
Good way to find out if you spawned a psyco.
Original anime or Brotherhood? I think you should do both because Shou Tucker turning into a chimera in the original had me fucked up. I think it was the upside down face really.
Brotherhood is still superior but the original had some good bits considering they were working blindly since the manga wasn't completed at the time.
O….Oni Chan…?
Lets play.....Lets play....
Why is it .. raining 😭
Damn right here in my meow meow
😭😭😭
Still too soon man 😭
God damn it
I will combine you with toaster and you will become primagen
At least that guy didn’t turn his daughter into a burger
This man Meats.
Great catch. Lol
Similar thing with bell peppers to chips
Not if Mercury is in the sign of Pisces, where did you go to medical school? Jeeze.
I'm sorry but mercury is in Uranus. I dont believe in that stuff doc. No I mean the thermometer broke
Well that certainly explains all the ass cancer.
Indeed, this also results in a lot of trans fats that your body can’t recognize.
Is my body conservative? I wanna recognize trans in my body /j
Ah yes, the Law of Equivalent Return
And get me started with the transmutation of cucumber into pickles.
Where do I request a replacement manual. Itching to turn lead into gold.
Two wrongs don’t make a right, but two rights do make a wrong
Two wrongs might not make a right, but three lefts do.
Mmhmm
Y'know Five Score and Seven Years Ago there wasn't all this confusion about nutrition.
A lot of people are so quick to jump on the latest diet fad they just Forget and Not Slow Down
At least 3 rungs make a ladder.
step ladder? are you stuck?
No two Wrights make an airplane
Good Job 👍
Two Wrongs =/= Right
Opposite of Right = Wrong OR Left
Therefore: Wrong = Left
Three Lefts = Right
Therefore: Three Wrongs = Right
Hypothesis 1: This is why they say "Third time's the charm!" and also explains how sitcoms work.
Hypothesis 2: Math and Language don't Math well.
Ney,
two rights make backwards.
what about one right, two wrongs and half a neutral?
Straight to jail
It's all about intentions.
The burger makes you fat, because of the implication
It's the concept of fatness that does it, really.
Are these vegetables in danger? It sounds like they're in danger.
No one is in any danger. We'll just get a burger, put some cheese on it and see what happens and because it's in the middle of 2 buns it's hard to say no, because of the implication
Now… you’ve said that word, “implication” a couple of times. What implication?
Well... you're on a boat... the implication is there. Now silence before I come down upon you like the hammer of Thor.
Its the thought that counts
it’s the thought that counts calories, too
Are you going to hurt these burgers?
That burger certainly isn’t in danger.
So the burgers are in danger?
This reminded me of that one scene from "It's always sunny in Philadephia" , because of the implications..
Exactly where my head went too. It’s the implication!
You're misunderstanding me bro. If you say no to eating the burger, then answers obviously no. The thing is, you're not going to say no, you're never going to say no... because of the implications.
Fatness is a social construct.
It’s about the implication
The hamburger eats the healthy part of its ingredient and you’re essentially eating the poop.
Wtf
No, not wtf. Please continue
Basically the cool yellow playdough my teeth make
They eat da poo poo
"THIS EXCROTARY SYSTEM IS NOT MADE TO RECEIVE! IT IS ONLY FOR EXIT!"
eat-ah dee poo poo.
I am very mature upvotes
This guy r/shittyaskscience’s
I want you to explain so many more things like this
Man every thread is off the rails and this one took the cake for me
I used to be a normal dildo, but one day I ate a burger and forgot to clean my face. Soon afterwards I was put up someone’s ass and thrown into the trash, it had nothing to do with the burger.
I want a burger now damn it
Lol you're not alone! All those pics look *delicious *.
There's a mcdonalds right outside my gym. It's torture. You smell it the second you walk out.
It's healthy if it's homemade
And the first list of ingredients doesn’t show the horrible amount of ultra processed, fat and sugar saturated, « burger sauce » you are gonna add.
Neither does it shows that you are gonna have fries and large coke with that.
I'll have two number 9's, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45's, one with cheese, and a large soda.
If I skip fries, skip the coke, and add an egg instead of sauce, is it healthy?
Yup.
Instead of skipping fries, replace with a nice lettuce and tomato salad, you can have a sauce but make it yourself so it’s not saturated in sugar, and make sure you use bread and not bun so it’s not to sugary again.
Yummmmmy
Also consider a whole wheat bun, and 93% lean or greater beef
55 BURGERS, 55 FRIES, 55 TACOS, 55 PIES, 55 COKES, 100 TATER TOTS, 100 PIZZAS, 100 TENDERS, 100 MEATBALLS, 100 COFFEES, 55 WINGS, 55 SHAKES, 55 PANCAKES, 55 PASTAS, 55 PEPPERS AND 155 TATERS
Less sugar in the sauce, less sugar in the bread, and some coleslaw to the side, and you got yourself a healthy meal.
There's so many other things you can do instead of fries. Sometimes when I'm at the house I'll just make myself a second smaller burger as a side.
Sometimes when I'm at the house I'll just make myself a second smaller burger as a side.
i imagine wimpy from popeye typing this comment
Some countries even consider burger buns as desert due to the huge amount of sugar in it. I think ireland was one of them.
Subway in ireland had to pay taxes that don't apply to bread because the subs were considered confectionery
The bread subway makes was not allowed to be called bread here due to the sugar content. It was a legal ruling I believe. I don’t know what changes subway made if any
Yep, they're considered pastries due to the sugar contents in the EU
Just check the salt content in a fast food burger. Some of them have more salt than the years on a calendar

Don't forget the lack of vegetables either. You're not getting a salad. You're getting like one or two slices of tomato and a little bit of lettuce. If you used the same ingredients, you could have made yourself a simple salad with beef or meat, and croutons. Both the burger and salad have the same ingredients however the salad has a better spread of ingredients.
That may be true at restaurants but I need a whole-ass salad on my burger, we're talking like three pieces of lettuce four pieces of tomato a bunch of pickles and like a quarter of an onion at least.
That's usually what I put on my burgers as well. It's how inefficiently sized the burger buns are, that you can't put a shit load of salad. The amount of vegetables you've mentioned still can't compare.
The number of calories is not what makes something unhealthy.
Sure but their comment has merit even without the calories part. Oil, frying, butter, mayonnaise, and sugar are unhealthy by any metric you look at.
Butter isn't inherently bad for you, if it's high quality then it's a great source of healthy fats and some micronutrients. Same goes for olive oil, coconut oil, Cacao, etc.
Cheap frying oils and "vegetable oil" are bad for you though.

Lmao that is propaganda directly from the companies who sell you "vegetable" oil. Cacao and coconut oil are two of the healthiest foods in the world and they have even more saturated fat than butter does. Saturated fat is a scapegoat.
You’re stating an opinion without even a shred of evidence. Modern dietary guidelines advise minimizing saturated fats.
This highly depends (also it’s not like the other guy or you is providing any evidence either). Some people will benefit from more saturated fats, that depends on a many many factors that should only be customized towards each and every person. Body weight, body fat, sugar levels, etc etc all play into what a “healthy” amount is and that amount is usually not universal but still a helpful guideline.
it does actually, if you eat a big number of calories that don't have any nutritional value, you're not leaving room for the calories that do
You're missing the main unhealthy ingredient
Mayo
Or as I like to call it, burger spackle.
Stupid question: why is mayo unhealthy?
It’s not really. It’s mainly egg and oil. It’s just very calorie dense so what looks like a little is a lot.
It is made of oil and egg
But egg healthy
o i l
Some oil healthy!
But olive oil mayo is expensive and tastes a little funny
I do all my homemade mayo with olive oil as it’s the only oil I use, and crush some fresh garlic in it…
fuck you is why
Valid
I feel like there's a huge amount of lost redditors in here...
Watch this video, it will make it easy to understand.
https://youtu.be/zz2WR6tVg5E?si=i3Erxv_P2KXAfwtm
Basically, if you use whole foods to make a burger, it's actually healthy! That's considering you're not eating more calories than you need.
The problem is the fast food burgers, they're not healthy at all because they're not whole foods, they're ultra processed food and also ultra caloric. They have entire teams of researchers searching for more ways to add more calories and to make you literally addicted without running the flavour. The video actually explains how.
You do realise the sub we're in, right?
Oh my, didn't realize it hahahha sorry for the serious reply
No problem. 80% of responses are serious anyways.
I know it's the wrong sub but I appreciate your comment nonetheless lol
Where did the tortilla chips come from?
Do people just not understand the point of this sub now? Come on.
Exactly. Some people really need to check the name of the sub again.
Simple answer is -- in bought burgers is a LOT of added fat and often sugar--(tip its already good without that)
Another thing is bread does not equal bread. Black bread is healthier.
White bread not so(lots of carbohydrates) ---
fastfood company bread i dont find it worthy of the term bread.. it is soo much less
Because Jewish God said so.
Different cheese
if you look at calorie counts at McDonald's, the fries and soda are doing way more damage than the burger. but also theres the high density cholesterol/ transfats from the oil its cooked in (which again, is even worse in the fries).
also i dont think most nutritionists would agree that bread and cheese are even "healthy". like its fine, and probably beneficial in moderation, but if youre trying to lose weight or just be more healthy in general you'll be eating a lot less bread and cheese and more vegetables, nuts and fruits.
Burgers are actually very very nutritious. They are a health food.
It's usually the processed junk that fast food chains add to it... As well you are likely drinking half a litter of pop with it... Which is like 2000cal.
The burguer is no really meat.
The cheese is most likely shit quality fatty cheese.
There's enough oil in them for the US to be looking at you with freedom intents.
If homemade it's a whole other story
The devil is in the details:
The bun is not healthy food. Get that shit out of the healthy category
Where are the sauces? High calorie dressings and sauces are on that burger, but I don't see them represented at all here.
People who buy a burger like this often get fries and soda as well, and that shit is a significant source of non healthful calories.
A burger patty and some vegetables is a good, healthful meal.
Healthy if homemade, but commercial burger buns contain so much sugar
I know it's an extreme example...but. drinking water is healthy. Adding salt to your food, also healthy. Drinking salted water could potentially kill you.
Try comparing something comparable. The fastfood is the cheapest ingredient available, therefore not healthy. They use fake letuce (i.e: iceberg) and fake potatoes so it last much longer, less loss, the fat is cheap, like canola and the meat is recknditionned, if it's even actual meat.
Okay, first, that burger has doritos. Second, the problem is the processing they do and the stuff they add. If it was a homemade burger it would be much healthier
Cheese as it comes is mostly the fats from milk so not very healthy. Beef as it comes is not very healthy, especially when u consider that the beef used to make burgers has a very high fat content. White bread is very unhealthy no matter which way u look at it. Most lettuces are of neglible health benefit because theyre mostly water. Tomatoes are good for u but most of the ones thst end up on the majority of burgers in the US have had modt of the nutritionsl value bred out of them, thats why they're so pale pink. Also when u consider how thin they slice tomatoes at most burger places youre not gettin much nutritionsl benefit off of what an 8th of a serving. Pickles are good for u but 2 slices from a whole pickle is like meh might as well not be there. Onions are good for u so theres that. Mayo is mostly oil so not very good for u. Ketchup has a lot of sugar if i remember correctly so not good for u. Mustard is very good for u but yellow mustard is like the least nutritionally beneficial. So even taken individually most of a burger just isnt good for u. Im not sure where you got this meme but they lied to u
"Bread makes you fat.." "BREAD MAKES YOU FAT?!?"
Do you see this crispy batter on the meat in this hamburger? This are carbs drowned on hot fat, beneath them is lowest quality, industrially grown chicken meat. Is it tasty? Oh, Yeah. Is it healthy? Abso-fucken-lutely NO.
There is also vein clogging seasoning of mayonnaise.
Proportions are all wrong, not enough vegetables, too much calories dense meat, seasoning and white bread.
As a result, you either have a small burger, and feel hungry (it provided calories, but it volume was insufficient to fill your stomach), or you have big, filling burger, that exceeds your nutritional requirement.
Because people are stupid and biased and listen to food propaganda
It just deoends on the whole meal and where your burget comes from
The one on the pucture is 100% unealthy. Adding 1g of lettuce doesn't make it healthy lol
Bread isn't healthy, neither is deep fried chicken
And deep fried bread is bad too, unless you feed it to a chicken.
Or cheese, especially the processed stuff they put on burgers
It's how they're cooked, what oil is used, what sauces are added etc
Bread isn't healthy in that form
Yep, has to be square or rectangular.
It's because they added MSG. Malevolent Stupid Gunk.
How dare you spread this lie
It has chips on it, and it it became a fried chicken patty
^
If it didnt, then the condiments are really unhealthy (mustard katchup mayo etc) the gluten is bad for you, its salty as fuck.
To top this off, if I ate a ham steak, id pair it with water or wine.
When you get a burger you tend to get a Soda and Fries with it just flat out tripling your problem.
Even so enjoy ur burgers no harm in moderation.
That's a chicken sandwich
Sauces, oil for frying and store bought hamburger buns are very much not healthy
Does this prove math wrong? Does a positive plus a positive make a negative?
Healthy eating isn't about not eating this or that, is your overall diet that determines that, and that also varies by the person needs
McDonald’s has a pile of bananas emitting potassium-40 into the environment, this causes hamburgers to be less healthy, not because potassium 40 is radioactive or anything but because it comes from bananas specifically.
Thanks to this, people eat at McDonald’s since other burgers are also unhealthy
Hamburgers with only the ingredients above would not be bad for you at all.
The problem is that people tend to douse their burgers with high fat cheeses, mayo, spreads, and other condiments. People also tend to eat fries or some other unhealthy side dish with them.
Home made burgers ARE healthy.
It's just the red meat. Proven to cause heart problems.
Because you didn't have the oil there, and the amount also matters
1 of them, freshly made with all those ingredients, isnt unhealthy but if you eat 15 of the McDonald's version then yea its bad..
In itself - if you make it from the bottom and you chill on mayo etc. its not so bad. However, fastfood chains is ripe with transfats, added sugars, etc. etc.
Oil-fried chicken, processed cheese and bread.
It’s because it’s all liberal propaganda. I eat cheeseburgers every meal 24/7 and have no health problems. “Doctors” think I have high cholesterol and obesity but I’m anti-vax so I’m healthy
Because it doesn't. The only truly unhealthy part of burger is the bun. Make burger without the bun and voila, you have a healthy meal!
It's 100% the mayo. Ghosts are white, mayo is white. Prepare to become a ghost.
How it's prepared really makes all the difference.
Well, cause it tastes better together than when it was apart. Deliciosity and health are inversely proportional. The better something tastes, the worse it is for you. We like to call it God's laffing curve.
The top is missing the oil. And the chicken.
Not sure where the beef went.
This wouldn't be particularly unhealthy.
The reason fast food sandwiches are unhealthy is there aren't anywhere near that many vegetables and the meat is loaded up with extreme amounts of salt, a soda on the side, and some very salty fries.
Because in the process of combining them you also add a lot of unhealthy ingredients that aren't in the top image.
The processing of the meat and bread. Otherwise it's healthy
Oil
McDonalds
It's the way that it's cooked that makes all the difference
Maybe the burger is not unhealthy. So much nuance is lost if we talk about food in this binary kind of way.
Cheese and white bread and not healthy. And the beef used in a hamburger isn't exactly a lean steak
Quantity and cooking method. Plus adding soda, fries and ungodly amounts of ketchup and mayo.
Your first mistake is thinking that's meat
It might come as a surprise to you, but white burger buns and burger sauces are not healthy even eaten separately.
In that burger, the bread is high in sugars, the cheese is processed, and the meat is ultra-processed. The bread is also full of trans fat, refined wheat, and high in salt in the picture.
"You only need these three ingredients as long as you have 14 others already"
Bread is not "healthy"
If you fry your meat or grill it with greace or butter it's not healthy anymore
Sauces and condiments are full of salt and sugar
Cheese is fat
Contrary to popular belief, it is the inverse square law. The cm2 of something is healthy BUT having that AND cm2 of something else is 2 squares. Therefore you have to inverse them, so instead of cm2 of healthy food, it’s cm3 of UNHEALTHY food.
*squints at image bc I forgot i can zoom in* are those CHIPS? in the BURGER?
Because, as teen titans go teaches us, things are more than the sum of their parts.
The sauce
As far as I know:
Frying beef is not healthy.
Whole grain bread >>> White wheat bread.
Mayo based sauces are also not the best for you.
The rest is healthy I guess
The top picture forgot to include hydrogenated soybean oil, titanium dioxide, Red40, gum resin of esther...
Grease
How you cook it.
You forgot to add the ketchup, mustard, grease, etc
you forgot to add the lard and salt in the transmutation recipe
Because a real sandwich from a fast food joint NEVER looks like the picture
The buns are not considered healthy though, and neither are the patties.
Transmutation of beef into fried chicken destroys its health benefits. Consult your alchemy manual for more info.
