Mary J Blige - Share my World. I was 13 and it was explicit advisory. I asked my best friend’s grandpa to drive us up to the shopping center Harmony House. The cashier let me buy it without an adult and I felt like I had hit the jackpot because it was the last copy in the store. I used my money too, $23 for it. I was so geeked. That was my first RNB purchase that I can vividly remember.

Now I did do the BMG and Columbia house cd clubs and got lots of albums doing the 8 cds for 99cents thing before this but the Mary J Blige is the first one I paid full price and went to the store to buy.

I'm fairly sure this was my first CD. Before then, I would record the songs off the radio or a friend's CD/cassette onto my own tape. Pretty sure I still have a Mixtape or two round here somewhere.
