Have been a Toyota/Honda family after the Chevy Citation blew up. Lol. Toyota for the past 20 years. However, with exorbitant dealer pricing on Toyotas, I have been relegated to Kia and rethinking my decision. We keep our cars for a long time, had a 2001 Rav4 bought new and traded in for Kia 4 years ago. Currently the '14 Highlander has 170K miles without any major issues.
Debating between the '24 Rav4 vs Subaru Forester.
Price for comparable model (e.g. heated seats, AWD, leather - I don't care about moonroofs, infotainment, etc.) the Rav4 is about $4-5K more.
Forester also seems to be more spacious on the inside but not too fond of CVT vs 8 speed on the Rav4.
Any thoughts?
Bought at MSRP last year
The only regret was wind noise, but I had some sound deadening installed, and now it’s all good
I’ll have it for another 15 years, hopefully
To me, the real value in a Toyota doesn’t manifest until deeper into the ownership cycle, when problems typically manifest.
