Finally, my childhood dream has come true, I am joining the PS family:POST_Images: Image

My first playstation, I really wanted a 4, but my parents wouldn't buy it for me, so I promised that I would buy the next one myself, and it happened

What Playstation exclusive do you think is underrated/not getting the attention it deserves?:POST_Discussion: Discussion

It doesn’t have to be current gen, can be a game from 2002 tbh.

I would have to go with Jak & Daxter and Sly Cooper. Those two, along with Ratchet and Clank, were my childhood. They even had so many sequels back in the PS2 and PS3 days. R&C lived on to see the PS5 but I don’t know why Sly Cooper and Jak didn’t. They were such fun platformers and easy enough for anybody to enjoy. They were also paced right and doesn’t suffer from being needlessly long. You weren’t drowned in the enormity of an open world filled with cardboard characters and fetch quests. The protagonists were iconic and filled with personality as well. You can’t say the same with the likes of Aloy, Selene (Returnal), Eve (Stellar Blade), etc. Even Cloud is boring tbh.

PS hasn’t been releasing kid-friendly games in a hot minute, only Nintendo has been producing games that kids would love. They could tap into that market and also have old fans reignite their nostalgia.

Plus, it would cure the issue of not having enough releases in a year. It’s like I bought my PS5 to buy the PS5 versions of old games like Tsushima, TLOU 2, etc. Not every release has to be a hundred million dollar AAA game. Having a lower budget, fun-focused, kid friendly games would increase their releases and sales. It’s a no brainer.

What are the games with the Best Lore to explore?:POST_Discussion: Discussion

I know From Software games are known for their deep lore.

Which other ones come to your mind ?

USB 2.0 External Hard Drive Support on PS5:POST_Tech_Support: Support

I have an external WD Hard Drive which is a little old and is only USB 2.0. I want to transfer some videos from my pc to the PS5 but the PS5 is not recognizing the drive even though it's exFAT. Can someone help me out?

Are we suddenly OK with PS region locking their games?:POST_Discussion: Discussion

There was chaos and riot because of PSN requirement for Helldivers 2, and they removed PSN requirement.. ok seems fair... we are back to normal. But we in fact aren't, it's even worse arguably. Helldivers 2 and now Ghost of Tsutshima are still region locked in 180 countries worldwide. I wanted to buy both of these games and now i cant, there is litteraly no way for me to enjoy those 2 absolutely brilliant games except for piracy.

I fear that the trend is going to continue with the later PS games ported over to PC (like God of War Ragnarok and everything else that is, or will be announced for PC).

I feel like this a real shame and i find no point in doing this...

Now i'm wondering and it gets me worried because i want to buy PS5, will i be able to fully enjoy all games for it, be able to buy all games and/or subscriptions for PS just because i live in one of those 180 counties that don't have a PSN access?

User creation for my kid:POST_Tech_Support: Support

Last time I played a video game was ‘93. Kicked my roommates’ ass in Techmo Bowl. Haven’t touched anything since.

Recently acquire a PS5 and I I created an account for my son under the Family option in the Sony PS parental account. Does he now login to the PS5 on his own with his own credentials? Whose credentials create a user for him? Does he use PS5 credentials for Epic Games for stuff like Fortnite?

I gotta say that while the games are fantastic, the sign-up is just ridiculous if you’ve got kids.

Apologies if this was not the place to ask this. Any help would very much appreciated.
