You won’t be disappointed!
Oh you are in for a treat!
this is truly a great list. Great variety, but there’s consistency/sincerity. Bonus points for my cousin Vinny.
thats a solid list.
Great list 👍🏽
A brilliant set of films. Can't fault it.
That's the shit.
If the only film this list included was Children of Men, it’d be a banger.
Note to self: stop being a hold out for no good reason and watch My Cousin Vinny.
Right there with you, been putting this one off for way too long myself
Wow I have six of these in my top ten!
What are your other 4?
Overlap with: Children of Men, Gone Girl, Contact, Interstellar, Fargo, Close Encounters
My other 4: Silence of the Lambs, True Romance, Carrie, Ex Machina
It's wild to think how close we are to the Children of Men timeline.
There are going to be watch parties.
Great list.
Thank you someone finally included the matrix! I know it’s very popular but truly is one of the top 10 films ever made (just from the dialogue alone) IMO.
Couldn’t not include The Matrix. The first time seeing Neo realize he is the one… I wish I could watch it for the first time again.
I was thinking that earlier today as well, how it was strange it wasn’t in many top 10s.
Are you 41

Great list!
I’ve both read and watched Children of Men. It’s astonishing how much better the movie is compared to the book.
I absolutely hated Gone Girl. Like it’s one of my most hated films. The twists were over the top ridiculous. It was so unbelievable that it took me out of the movie and made me hate everything about the film. It just felt pretentious and that my time had been wasted by the end of the film. I was very surprised to see how much people enjoyed that movie.
I say that because, other than that, we have pretty similar taste in movies. It’s weird how much preferences can align but also be different.
I loved the sound track and voice narration in Gone Girl. With that being said, I can see your point of view for sure - it’s hard for me to get into a movie when the plot is so ridiculous that I’m in my mind thinking about how stupid it is. Once I get to that point there’s usually no coming back.
Really good list!!
Nice, but try watching something non American!
What do you recommend? I don’t mind subtitles either
Le Samurai
Memories of murder
Cache
Un prophete
Let the right one in
Are a couple I really like!
Memories of murder is in my top 10. A masterpiece. Also, Parasite, if you haven’t seen it already.
+1 for IASIP.
I haven’t seen either but I’m adding those to my watch list.
Definitely should! IASIP is the goat!
Memories of murder is in my top 10. A masterpiece. Also, Parasite, if you haven’t seen it already.
My favourite 10 so far, good taste.
I don’t see My Cousin Vinny mentioned on here much. Love that film. Both Joe Pesci and Marisa Tomei are on top form. So many quotable lines and funny scenes spring to mind. Fred Gwynne as the Judge is the cherry on the cake.
Best list I’ve seen yet. Gone girl didn’t do much for me. But the rest are pretty excellent.
Better list than most, I've seen. I need to make mine. Shout-out to Children of Men.
Best list
Very good list. What rank would give Arrival?
Arrival could have easily been swapped out with gone girl or lost in translation for me. I absolutely love it.
haha nice. I havent done a top 10 but it would be very similar to yours, but would have arrival in their somewhere
Contact such an underrated choice
Agreed contact is so god dam good.
I fucks with this list. I have none of them in my top 10, but all of them could easily have been.
All solid. Except Lost in Translation. Couldn’t stand that pretentious pos.
Unforgiven is better than The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, though I readily concede that it would not exist without the film on your list.
I have yet to see unforgiven! Thanks for the recommendation.
You lost me with the Matrix, but that’s on me.
Children of Men- Amazing film, really stuck with me. I watched straight after giving birth to my first child.
Solid list
Children of Men. It’s hard to compare it to any other film. What a masterpiece. I thought Roma was excellent but I don’t think Cuaron will ever be able to top it.
Hell yeah nice list! You reminded me to put The Good the Bad and the Ugly on my watchlist!
