So i got a new photon mono 2 as my first printer and haven’t been able to print anything cuz the prints keep sticking to the tank. What could be the problem and what could i do to fix this issue?
I tried it but still the same result it sticks to the fep film and thus results in no prints
Have you tried sanding or scratching the build plate?
Thanks for the advice but I found out that the plate was not even touching the fep and now I fixed it so i just did my first successful print :D
Increase bottom layers and bottom layer exposure time.
I checked the app and I couldn’t find anything to change that can you guide me about how to do it ?
Are you using photon workshop? If so, it should be under
Edit resin - slice parameter - Bottom Exposure Time
And
Edit resin - slice parameter - bottom layers
For small prints like miniature, I do 60s bottom exposure and 4 bottom layers for my Photon Mono X. For large heavy prints, I do 70s bottom exposure and 5-6 bottom layers. My resin printer is about 3 years old at this point though, so I think newer printers need less time.
Essentially, bottom exposure is how long the printer is keeping the light on for the first layer. The longer the time, the stronger it sticks. Bottom layers is how thick that bottom piece is. Thicker bottom means stronger base. Let me know if you need more help :)
I figured out the problem was that my plate was not touching the fep and I fixed it and also thanks for the guide
By tank, do you mean the FEP film?
Make sure you removed the plastic on it. It can be easy to miss. If you still have issues, I'd replace the film. The Mono 2 uses full frammed films, so you'll need to order some of those from AnyCubic.
I've had issues with EcoResin, but the standard AnyCubic resin seemed to work well.
I did but I don’t have access to anycubic directly since anycubic doesn’t have a shipping to my country so I ordered it from third party
Does your print form suction cups? Try a different orientation, or add holes somewhere to avoid suction.
