I need to back up my Business data from WP how can I do it ? Because I closed my business and need to shut down the website, also I am using AWS EC2 I will disable it
+1, we usually use it on our clients' sites when they decide to "freeze" their sites, but we use WP All Import/Export plugin when we need only website's content (and transfer it elsewhere).
Install Duplicator. Create a backup. Download the backup and install file. Save a copy of Duplicator along with it so you have the version it was made with.
Alternatively, you can download the WP-content folder and a sql dump of the database. I would also download the installer for the current version of WP so you have everything in the right version if you need it later.
Can I disable EC2 first ?
No. If you disable your server you have no way of making the backups.
Can I store data in S3 ? Instaed of downloads?
you can put the archives anywhere you want once they are created.
So now first from WP I will install duplicator then download the file and save a copy in S3 then I will disable EC2 and whole server
Dude. Just hire someone for $10 to do it for you. You need more help than you can get on Reddit.
Just use Updraft. It can send the backups directly to S3. No need to manually download/uploading.
All-In-One Migration is great tool for that.
