Then the creator did their job because that's the point lol. If this was a YouTube video that would have been a comment that furthered interactions and in turn would push it to more people who would get pissed and say so in the comments and in turn would get pushed to even more people. More comments more views more money for both YouTube and the creator. Remember that old saying Theres no such thing as bad publicity? That's the golden rule of the internet now. Content that pisses people off actually makes more money than heart string content.
I was thinking the same thing after getting sucked in by one post, which was pretty obviously ragebaity, then the next 4 posts are all ragebait too, does nobody moderate this Reddit anymore?
That’s was honestly the most shocking aspect. You have to pay more for the squeeze bag. But I guess you have to pay more for the bag of chips then plain potatoes too.
The price was my first thought too. You know what works great for us. Cut up potatoes, put in crock pot then come home and mix in butter, milk and salt with hand beaters.
I love Lays Kettle potato chips, but I only buy them when they are buy one get one free at Publix because they cost almost 5 dollars for 8 ounces! Ridiculous.
Was thinking this. Sour cream, half gallon of milk, two bags of chips and package of cheese.. this “meal” probably cost close to 20 bucks. The Idahoan instant mashed potatoes are like 3 bucks, only need water (but we add butter) and are really freaking good.
The Idaho mash is nice but it might be a bit too convenient lmao.. it completely replaced real mash in my house because it was so much quicker and easier. Then on the odd occasion when we would make real mash, realised it actually is so much better than Idaho mash and the only thing Idaho has over real mash is the convenience.
It was grey under the cheese. I didn’t expect anything good, but it was grey. Logically I understand why, but it was freaking grey food. Sometimes I hate this timeline.
In 50 years, humans will buy fresh potatos for novelty, and post pics saying: "Did you know potatoes look like this before they are made edible in a factory?" This meal looks dystopian for some reason...
As someone who prides herself in her cooking abilities, whose family loves her mashed potatoes, and someone with decent taste, this is pure, unadulterated blasphemy to the pure creamy bliss proper mashed potatoes should be.
Individually, the ingredients are fine. Dump them all together like that and it is garbage. Just like in my trash can. Instant mashed potatoes are under two bucks a package and taste awesome. I'm thinking specifically of Idahoan brand
Can someone explain to me the appeal of reconstituting potato chips? Why not do this recipe with potatoes? Then the only part I would question is why cook the sour cream?
Average Americans really need to stop thinking they can cook and just follow recipes. This kinda shit is getting out of hand.
Also Americans, quick question, why does all of your food get cooked with at least 1 STICK of butter? I’ve seen some online where there’s been 5+ sticks of butter added. What is going on over there? You know you guys have to pay for healthcare right?
Please tell me these are rage bait vids and the average American doesn’t do this.
Does anybody knows why those people do dishes like those? Everybody knows this aint a recipe but just a bunch of shit thrown in a pot.. i really don’t get it, plus there not even a moment when the cook tastes this mess..
When these people die and go to hell, I hope they are forced to do these videos there, eat what they've made, throw it up, and be forced to do the video over again.
Honestly, why not just use raw potatoes? It's literally about the same cost. Considering this was a crock pot meal, it probably took some time to cook. Could've boiled some potatoes, drained them, then mixed in the other ingredients (left out a whatever that canned stuff was) and had a truly delicious side 😉
Absolute fucking slop. I hate this kind of content.
