Hello everyone, I hope you all are having a good year.

I started u/savevideo and redditsave.com two years ago with the aim of helping reddit users to save videos from reddit. I didn't know it would get popular so soon.

When I first created the website, I used the domain name redditsave.com, but I always had the intention of changing it to something that wouldn't infringe on Reddit's trademark.
I found rapidsave.com to be the closest thing but it was owned by someone else. I was able to purchase the rapidsave.com domain in February 2022 and had it in mind to switch.

Starting today, redditsave.com is now known as rapidsave.com, and all existing links will redirect to the new domain.

The service on the website will remain the same and it is still owned by me. And NO, I was not asked or contacted by Reddit to change the name (thank you reddit).

I believe this change is the right move for the website and I am grateful to Reddit for providing such a great platform.

If you have any thoughts or opinions on the name change, or if you encounter any issues, please let me know. I appreciate all the support from our amazing users and all the mods that added it as default to their subs.

The bot (u/savevideo) got suspended 2 days ago for "harassment".

Thanks to everyone who showed concern and the reddit staff for restoring the bot.

The second supporting bot (u/savevideobot) is still banned. I hope it gets free soon.

You can continue downloading as usual. The website https://redditsave.com can also be used directly.
