CeraVe has been giving me an allergic reaction for months and I just now realize

I’ve been using the “sensitive skin” CeraVe cleanser and moisturizer for a long time, thinking it would be gentle and beneficial for my skin. Initially, everything seemed fine, but then I started to notice these hard, milia-type bumps around my chin and jawline. At first, I thought it was just a minor skin issue that an exfoliator (CeraVe brand) could fix, so I kept using my CeraVe products without giving it too much thought. Unfortunately, things have taken a turn for the worse. Now I’m experiencing the worst breakouts I’ve had in my entire 26 years. What started as small, hard white bumps around my chin and mouth has now spread along my cheek and up to my sideburns, even the back of my neck. Making them almost impossible to get rid of. The bumps that appeared on my side burn slowly got more inflamed and painful, to the point my head was throbbing. I’ve been treating these bumps like regular pimples, thinking they’d respond to the usual treatments. I’ve tried popping them and using pimple patches. These methods haven’t worked at all, and the situation has gotten worse. It’s incredibly frustrating, painful and embarrassing, to be honest. I’ve always been cautious about my skincare routine, especially since my skin tends to be sensitive. That’s why I chose CeraVe in the first place. But seeing my skin react this way has left me feeling pretty helpless. So like any anyone I went to google to see if it could give me some answers. And lo and behold people are having allergic reactions to CeraVe products. That look similar to mine. It was not listed on the bottle that this type of allergic reaction is a side effect. If it was I would’ve stopped using it when this first started and I would not be to where I am now having this severe and a reaction. I am not sure what is specifically in CeraVe that is causing the reaction. All CeraVe products that I bought has sense been thrown away. I want to put this out there because I didn’t know that this could happen. And I don’t want other people going through this nightmare too.

Is there a product that allows tanned skin to return to its own skin color?

First of all, hello everyone. I don't speak English, I hope I was able to explain.I work in the field in the summer. I have fair skin. I use sunscreen or something, but I need to refresh it regularly during the day, but I don't always have the opportunity. As a result, my skin is somehow exposed to the sun and burns/bronzes. I don't like getting tanned either. And the places that get tanned are my neck, face and arms. It takes a very long time for my skin to return to its normal color. There are products under the name of whitening etc. but they only give the skin a bright/bright appearance. Is there a product that helps/brings the skin back to its normal color?.

Dry Skincare Routine Advice

Hey all,

My current skincare products are about to be empty and it is time for me to switch up my products. I have dry skin. My skin just seems dull overall and uneven. I want my skin to look hydrated and glowy (not just within the 10min after I apply my skincare). I am also open to Korean skincare recs if they are actually helpful. Currently, my skincare routine is as follows:

AM

  1. Eye cream: Olehenriksen bananabright eye cream
  2. Vitamin C serum from RoC Skincare
  3. Moisturizer: Clarins Hydra-Essential Cream
  4. SPF

PM

  1. Clarins hydrating gentle cleanser
  2. Clarins Hydra-Essential Serum
  3. Moisturizer: Clarins Hydra-Essential Cream

I do not like my moisturizer since it makes my skin feel dry quickly after application. The cleanser feels nice. What do you think I should change or add in my skincare routine?

Help! Popped a large zit on my nose, and now I have a large wound.nsfw

I definitely did a dumb thing, no question. I had a massive zit on my nose that I went to town on, went way too hard, and I created a large wound. I'm now horrified, and looking for help. I have an appointment with a derm, but wont be seen for a few days. Feeling panicky and cancelled plans for the remainder of the week, because, wtf have I done.

Since last night I've been alternating between keeping it covered with a hydrocolloid patches for a few hours, and putting neosporin for a few hours. I read that it's best to keep it moist to prevent it from scabbing, but if anyone has information otherwise, please share.

Does this color seem normal? I'm wondering if it's slouth. Any tips for optimal healing? Additional recommendations?

Any advice would be much appreciated. I'm devastated. Never again.

Is there a 0.5% AHA 2% Salicylic acid toner?

Skin type: dry combo skin, acne prone Climate: Canada

Hello, I've just been using BOJ Green Plum Refreshing Toner with 0.5 SA & 2% AHA. I need a toner that has the opposite percentages; hopefully Kbeauty. Has anyone seen one?

Can I use snail mucin with tretinoin and benzoyl peroxide?

I want to use snail mucin more in my regimen now that the temperature is dropping where I stay since even though my skin is oily, it gets dry throughout the winter. Can I place BP and TRET which I use from highstreetpharma on top of snail mucin even if I won't be using them at the same time?

Is there a website that shows what your skin would look like after products????

Hello, I’m trying to figure out if there is a website that shows you what your skin looks like after using products.

DIY Face Mask

I've been looking up recipes for how to create a face mask at home, and I have some idea of what I might try, but I have a couple little details that I'd like to get input on:

I keep seeing banana recommended, but what stage are they talking? Pre-ripe with a little green, a normal one that you could eat, or an overripe one that you'd use for banana bread?

I also see honey on a lot of lists, would pasteurized honey work? Or does it have to be raw honey?

I use olive oil on my hair, and I plan to make it part of my face mask recipe, but I don't know if it's better to use regular or virgin/extra virgin?

And also, does anyone have any recommendations for recipes to use, or ingredients to include?

What do you think about Tixel?

Hi. I have a lot of acne scars on my face. I've had a lot of procedures: RF microneedling, Dermapen, TCA cross (1 time, directly into ice peak scars), Tixel. To be honest I see some improvement, but not much. And after last Tixel my face became very sensitive - every time I got tired or it is hot weather I am totally red. And the worst part is that after Tixel I see a lot of white dots in places where the doc applied TCA cross :/ in conclusion, I look 180 degrees different - I have red face with white marks which looks... Uhm, let's say I don't like it. 😅 I went to the doc last week and he said that he wants to do two more Tixels... In his opinion it should be bad as hell first, then it will be better. But I am afraid, I don't like my face after only 1 Tixel procedure, also my cosmetologist-colleague told me that heat procedure could be very bad for my collagen. I am after 30, I already see some saginess and don't want to make it worse. What do you think about that procedure? Should I be worried? Are those side effects with ultra sensitive skin normal?

Beauty of Joseon - Product RAVE

Soooo... I was recently ordering some SPF on Stylevana (as one does) and happened to stumble across the Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Moist Sun Serum and ordered it because I was curious and everything was marked down a ridiculous amount. I didn't think too much more of it, but my thought process was like, well the Beauty of Joseon Rice + Probiotics sunscreen is super crazy popular, so this will probably be decent, too.

I have now tried it with and without make up. Experimented with it a bit. I am so unbelievably confused as to why on earth this product has not gone viral. It's unreal. A literal serum, not a liquid-y sunscreen-y mess like I was expecting. It gives the most incredible glow to your skin. You apply it after your moisturizer, which I was initially hesitant about because, hi, I don't want my products pilling on my skin, but it honestly is the most incredible finishing product I've ever used.

And the way it performs under make up? Forget about it. I wish I had known about this and had it for my wedding because my make up looked incredible, like totally flawless base, and it held up for almost a full 8 hours with zero retouching. I'm not kidding, I left at 10am, returned home at 5:15pm from an event where the indoor temp was 77F and outdoor was in the 90s, and my make up actually looked almost exactly the same as it did when I left the house (had some creasing of eyeshadow, but that's on me). I don't understand it. If you buy one sunscreen for your face this summer, buy this one. SPF 50/PA++++. I actually don't want to use anything else. My skin didn't feel greasy or sticky or tacky or weird in any way. My base applied so beautifully and I used less of it than I normally do. My flabbers are fully gasted, y'all.

(P.S. totally unaffiliated with this brand, just wanted to share this amazing discovery with y'all)
