Heh heh, heh heh, heh.
Hi grandma!
No a 15 year old knows how to screenshot. This is like an old person printing off Google maps directions.
Except they googled “piactric dentist” instead of, presumably, pediatric and I think a 75 year old Redditor would know how to spell pediatric
Looks like an external box hinge.

Don’t know if it’s really a hinge so much as a bracket with a bolt through it. Look for a u bracket and see if you can find one with tabs. Should do it.
Actually looking at it again — I think it’s 3 different pieces. You have a u bracket in the center and two tabs on either side all connected with a bolt and mounted to the rim of the globe. You should be able to find all of this at your local big box store.
Most piatric dentists carry those
*piactric
Now I’m reminded of my failed dream of following in the footsteps of my father, and my father’s father, and becoming a piactric dentist :( Thanks a lot OP!
Don't photograph a computer screen. Use the computer, take a screenshot, and post that screenshot.
I don't understand how the art of the screenshot has gotten lost over the years.
My wife can't take a screenshot without using a 3rd party app (snagit) - even though I've shown her the winkey - shift - S shortcut countless times.
I've also repeatedly explained to her not to 'save' a website, use a bookmark instead! But she continues to have a desktop littered with saved web page folders.
Given up, I have.
I can't find the winkey button. Does it look like this ;)
That's even the hard way now. You can allow the prntscrn key to pull up the clipping tool. Draw a box then CTRL+V to wherever you want to insert it.
That's what win+shift+S does.
Yes. It does. I'm saying, there is a simpler way for people who can't remember the key combo. This may only be on Windows 11.
Alt + print screen to save a bit of selecterin'.
Why not Ctrl+ print screen?
Because that copies the entire window. win+shift+S gives you the ability to select an area of the window, like a block of text or an image.
Some people never figured it out, I’d imagine that OP is one of those computer-illiterate older people that you read stories about. I mean, they have a bookmark in their browser that’s a Google search with the word “pediatric” misspelled.
And crop it!
It’s a DIY screenshot.
But then no one would have to look up what a piatric dentist is
It seems you are able to see what is being shown, I'm not sure that the resolution of the photo matters.
Seemed to get the job done.
Op we have the same globe. I use it to hide my weed
Then it’s a Stonehinge.
Me too!
Don't photograph a computer screen, use a computer, use a computer then post that screenshot ☺️ deymmm
But then no one would have to look up what a piatric dentist is
On a Windows PC, it's as simple as hitting the "PrtSc" key on the keyboard. Most linux-based OSes are the same. I don't know about mac.
We have one on MAC too. Command + shift + 3
Windows+Shift+S launches the snipping tool which I find superior to screenshots these days. No cropping needed.
The amount of work you went through just so you didnt have to copy past a picture... lol
A regular ass hinge
I have a feeling this is going to be one of those impossible to find things. Best bet is to contact the seller you bought it from. If they don't respond, I'd try a nearby seller/manufacturer that might send you a spare.
You could also try a couple of "rounded angle brackets" and a bolt. it would look similar, but I'd be cautious about the weight bearing capacity if it has to hold one of those globe lids.
A sminge
A fitting hinge
To me it looks like 3 separate brackets sandwiched together. 2 L-shaped, 90 degree, Rounded corner braces made of antique finished brass, and 1 U-Bracket in the center. The pin goes through all three providing the hinge.
I'd say those are angle brackets with u bracket between them
Globe bar? Had one in college... I thought it was the height of sophistication in my dorm room.
That hinge on mine was a little wonky. Good luck.
Any metal workshop can make you such a hinge. Basically just two pieces of bend sheet metal with holes in them.
It wouldn’t take me long in my workshop, but I’d ask you to pay me one hour
Maybe a "pivot pin" hinge.
That is a round L bracket. Nothing special just rounded instead of square ends.
If call it a clevis and pin.
