Looking for just an overall workhorse card. The closest I feel I’ve gotten is AMEX Blue.. solid sub, waived 1 yr AF (which would be long accounted for in other spend anyway). My only gripe is this can only be used as statement credits(idk just find this annoying… or can you open a different Amex and move to a points/miles card?) we easily eclipse 600+ in grocery spend a month. Gas is probably 3-600 if I am busy for work. Then generally want to use for everything else. Another solid benefit is the Disney credit and the 6% eligible streaming (which this puts me ahead as I currently ACH my streaming stuff anyway). Are there any cards comparable? A flat 2% like the citi or WF? Unless someone wants to really sell me that it’s not a nuisance to open the Redstone and they believe they won’t nerf it anytime soon. I also CBA to get on a video call cause I am out of state and open an account for a credit union that I am geographically not close to at all, which is why I don’t really want to push for Redstone. Lastly, I know there are other cards that boost CB if you have 50-100K or whatever in an account but I don’t have that kind of liquidity so those cards / boosted cards are non option. My score is excellent and my usage is basically 0 so I don’t believe I would have an issue getting approved for any card for those reasons. TIA
Ignoring Redstone, what is best Casback catch/all for my categories?
Card Recommendation Request (Template NOT Used)I'm not pushing for them (I don't want the card to get nerfed), but redstone wants you to video call them? Joining /getting the card was completely automated for me
Same here. It was super easy.
When I got the card about a month ago I had to do a video chat because I'm in another state. Had to answer some questions, show my ID at one point, but it was quick and easy overall.
Interesting, I had to do none of that and I'm nowhere close to redstone. I got the card a year ago, so maybe they've added some steps since
same
Also out of state - I just opened an account this week. I had zero correspondence with any employees: just uploaded the required documents and received an email of account approval the next day.

By the way, the video call is simple and their support team is super nice.
US bank cash+, custom cash x2, and rotating 5% category cards are going to be your best friends. You also want a 2%+ cashback card.
BCP, Altitude Go, and others make sense. For pros, an Ink card to allow you to buy gift cards at 5% to use when your rotating categories are inapplicable or insufficient.
Some people also like the USBAR which is a hybrid quasi-cashback card but comes with an annual fee.
BCP should work wonders for you honestly. You'll likely need a second card to catch any remaining grocery spend after the $6k limit cap - I just got a SavorOne for that (and to cover for small dining expense). If you don't mind poor CS and a more limited grocery definition, Citi Custom Cash could pair well with it. Work in months to use the BCP for grocery and the CC for gas, then switch to BCP for gas and CC for grocery, being aware that CC's monthly 5% limit is a $500 spend.
I became I Redstone member in 20 minites. That is all it takes.
Robinhood gold, 3% back everything!
I would consider the Redstone FCU Visa Signature, Amex Blue Cash Preferred, Capital One SavorOne, Wells Fargo Autograph, Alliant CU Visa Signature, or U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve. The Citi Strata Premier might be good too if you can make the annual fee work.
