Or what you like to do on your leisure time.
Personally, I like beading, drawing and songwriting. I wish I could also start going for walks as freely as I used to.

I’m 46m and love Lego. I played with it a lot as a kid (I was planning to use it to build myself a spaceship and escape my life - didn’t think for a second that it was impossible) and it gave me so much comfort. I just wish it didn’t cost so much these days as I just can’t afford it now and my parents gave all my old stuff away.
I'm looking at getting a Mouldking set next.
Ooh, thank you, I’d never heard of these, I’ll check them out!
There's some nice looking kits at a much cheaper price. They're rated quite highly.
Looks like global shipping too. Is the quality decent?
I checked a little and the quality is supposed to be good. Won't know for sure until I get it...
Beware though. Some of the cheap kits are mini bricks, I'm avoiding those.
Thanks for the heads up, I’ll take a good look and try one.
If you remember I'd appreciate your opinion if you get one. I won't be buying for a little while.
No problem! I’ll likely be ordering one next week. I’m not sure how long it’ll take to arrive as I’m in the UK, but hopefully shouldn’t be too long, and I will definitely update you once it arrives. I’ll take plenty of photos too so you can see what you get, etc.
There's also other brands I haven't looked into eg Enlighten
Fantastic, thank you, I’ll add those to the list :)
That sounds cool! I really liked Lego Star Wars. What sets are your favorite?
Pirates and space. I'm not into Star Wars but if they had some Star Trek kits I'd be all over them!
I'm waiting on a creator expert kit of the apollo lunar lander. I'm currently building the Creator 3 in 1 pirate ship. It's very cool, 1250 pieces.
Painting, reading, thrifting, making playlists, macrame, embroidery, knitting, decorating my house.. I think that's it.
We share a lot of common hobbies!
dissociating. Lol Diamond painting, baking, Lego, garden, reading and paddle boarding. I also have 4 pets so they keep me busy. Also a sour dough named Breadrick haha
Rumination, overthinking, making drama in my own head.
I always lose when I have drama in my own head, people dump me and abandon me
Right now my main ones are reading, D&D and thrifting (does that count?) but I also enjoy gaming, climbing, knitting, writing and hiking. They come in phases, and many days I don't have the energy to engage in them.
Man, I don’t do shit. I was always grounded as a child so I never developed a habit of doing anything in my free time. I can’t maintain hobbies or interests as an adult no matter how hard I try. I signed up for a Spanish class in the evenings which has forced me to maintain my skills, but I don’t remember to study outside of it. I’m so frustrated but it is what it is.
that sucks. Have you ever got some support around it or energy from another enthusiast to keep you going?
I paint. I read.
I like reading, exercising (I do yoga, pilates, lift weights and walk), listen to music, cook/bake and spend time with my cat.
I like drawing.
Drawing, painting, hiking, meditating, riding my motorcycle
It's not a hobby but it brings me the most joy, playing, cuddling and feeding my 8 month old.
Going for walks in different parks
Crocheting
Cooking new recipes from magazines or reddit baking
Thrifting
Reddit lol
Making playlists
I used to go out on the bicycle but not for a while now.
Absolutely love museums and community events. A few weekends ago we saw the Easter Bunny took pictures and watched the kids go for a egg hunt. It was cute.
Historical strategy games, painting figurines and wood burning artwork, black light wall art and carved objects, rose garden trying my hand at better coloration towards a blue rose. All my time is leisure time. I walk my dog too, working on my physical health.
Lately, I've been working on my truck. That takes a good chunk of my time. I've also been doing some reading. I'm currently reading, "I thought it was just me (but it isn't) by Brene Brown. I also enjoy watching movies and listening to music. A couple of my favorite movies include "Scrooged," and "Army of Darkness". Some of my favorite bands include "The Devil Wears Prada," "Rest Easy," "Dance Gavin Dance," and "NOFX." Mostly punk and metal.
Knitting and crocheting, playing animal crossing, hanging out with my dog
Animal crossing has gotten me through some tough times
I'm a big tarot enthusaist. I also write long form essays on spirituality and philosophy and do a lot of different kinds of crafting. Right now I'm super into sublimation printing.
Playing video games, playing flute in a band, teaching myself bass guitar, watching TikTok’s/YouTube, obsessing over whatever thing I’m currently obsessing over (currently arcane and bojack horseman), drawing and making tattoo designs
Almost feels embarrassing that I basically lost all my hobbies over time while people here have so many things they like to do. I loved drawing, collecting figurines, and watching anime growing up but I don't do any of those things now. I still buy some merchandise and figurines but they seem to be fueled by shopping addiction rather than truly appreciating the items. I'm mostly just on my phone on social media. I've been trying to fix this but it's so hard for me to get even started.
Mostly golf. I used to skate and even ollied a 6 stair but I’m too afraid of getting hurt
I’m a booth rent hairstylist a couple of days a week (husband ff) we both do custom leather goods and I do custom embroidered jackets. All besides leather are things I practiced when I was a sad little girl so clearly it’s still a serotonin boost for me to this day! Find your thing!
I really like taking pictures with a Polaroid camera!
Making art with dead bugs, sewing plushies, watching true crime/documentaries/comedy, boxing, thrifting, dissociation
Sewing is my newest hobby. Gardening is my seasonal. Knitting I have for certain moods but I don't practice it as much and drawing/painting is my lifelong hobby in general, usually practiced more when any newer hobby is at a downswing or its gardening season.
I also like to bake. Trying to get into beanpaste or buttercream floral decorations. I feel the more hobbies the merrier.
39m - Photography (did this professionally for a long time but now just personal and fine art work), reading, cooking, recently getting into watercolour painting which I´m enjoying a lot. Mindfulness/Meditation has become a hobby i suppose as i dedicate time to it twice a day and enjoy it. Also like design so always looking at interiors and architecture etc for inspiration.
Used to like making music (synths/bass/singing) but have kinda fallen out of that for now.
Cooking, video games, and guitar probably in order of most time spent to least time spent in an average week.
I am extremely fortunate that I have an amazing spouse and a good job that allow me to have leisure time and some extra money to spend on fun things for me. It’s been a hard road but things eventually worked out great 🥲☺️
Cosplaying, 3d printing, working out, watching gymnastics, cooking. I also want to get better at sewing.
Photography. It's coming to a point where in the future, I can see myself doing it professionally. I've already spent way too much money on it and am years deep into it.
It's one of the things that's keeping me going.
I like to draw quite a lot.
Ruminating about everything. Lol
Lego, video games, learning everything about everything (history, especially). I would like to try new things, in the next year or so, see if I have any untapped skills. But meh..
Those are some nice hobbies OP!
I have phases hobbies that I rotate. Currently I am back into worldbuilding, writing, and learning a new language. I placed some hobbies aside so I can physically get better so I go to the gym, walk/run, ice plunge. I do DnD even though bo friends currently interestedm
Usually now in the slring I do some landscaping and DIY for house. I draw every once in a while but I lost a bit of motivation for it. i stopped with photography for a bit, as well as soem other creative hobbies and will come back to it at some point.
I wish i still had any. I've withdrawn and become so uninterested in anything really. I'm at home alone most of the day, and unfortunately my husband is going through a phase where he ignores literally everything to play a silly game on his phone. Biggest trigger of mine is being ignored, so this is an unfortunate set of circumstances. I liked to exercise, read, cook, but now it all feels HARD to even get the motivation to do it.
I don’t know if they are hobbies since I use them as copying mechanisms to escape reality , but reading, writing, cooking, tv shows , anime and baking

Reading, writing, photography, going on walks with my dog and sleeping
Probably something like: Hiking, eating, climbing, whistling, I like to vocalize sometimes when I’m alone, video games (particularly Mario Kart), YouTube (lol), bike, water
I am the hobby man, i think it’s a mix of my ADHD and my Anxiety trying to find various ways to never let me have a moment alone in my brain lmao-
I like to research things extensively and sometimes my boyfriend will ask me about the weird things I research so I make a slideshow like a high school presentation and show him what I learnt. Usually the topic of research is something to do with social studies sorta thing, so like, social structures, cultures, and societies, animals (prehistoric/dinosaurs especially rn) ancient humans and other hominid species. History, especially like, how social climates were in history and historical culture. Researching religion from a historical/Anthropologic perspective.
I’m also an artist, I paint, make tattoos (I wanna be a tattoo artist) , design characters and build storylines and universes for them, sometimes I carve wood or sculpt. Sometimes I’ll make art for my local punk band scene, and I go to local shows pretty often at bars and such. Recently I’ve been going to the gym and working out- I also delve into vulture culture (I live next to a forest so I’m always in there) sometimes I’ll rollerblade, I’m learning to skateboard. I train my dog. I’ve had phases of foraging and identifying plants and learning about local biodiversity and how to find invasive species.
I mostly picked these up fully after I dropped out of high school tho :]
I write fanfiction! And also playing video games. I also collect plushies and anime figurines of my faves. It's a good life, hehe
Video games, exercising, hiking with my service dogs, trick training, blogging and researching everything. Nutrition, karate, and yoga,
I love to read, I crochet, I enjoy 3D printing when I can get the thing running well (it seems to have more mood swings than I do!), and I really enjoy whittling and carving wood.
Petting Dogs. Tim Fletcher YouTube Dr. Les Carter - Surviving Narcissism YouTube Dr. Ramani - Navigating Narcisism YouTube Heidi Prieb YouTube Reading books on codependency. Reading books by Pete Walker Sleep! Video games sometimes Making music sometimes Healing and reparenring
you can check Jay Reid and Danish Bashir on narcissism, one of the few that are actually relatable.
Don’t mind me taking note of new hobbies to get super invested in only to wake up and suddenly have no interest in overnight. Thanks!
Here are my hobbies that I have remained interested in for the longest: - building 3-D puzzles and miniatures - diamond painting or paint-by-numbers - pebble painting (I use paint markers) - playing daily puzzle games on my phone. Hubdle.me has a bunch of Wordle-type games for different topics - watching any kind of pop culture-related, geography, or history deep dives that aren’t too dark on YouTube - making lists (kinda like this lol)
Does anyone else struggle with actually letting go and being creative? The thought of being free is daunting. I feel extremely vulnerable. Anxiety and shame related to not immediately being good enough usually prevents me from starting most things.
Walking, cooking, thinking (invariably too much), praying, meditating, serving, healthy habit-forming, addiction recovery, ... I haven't found my sweet spot yet and may never find an ideal, but these are the ones I recommend.
I find self-mastery that balances soul, body, and mind is the avenue I love to walk, because it brings me peace and serenity. The hobbies most conducive to this balance are the ones I look for.
Edit: +reading
Bird watching, video games, walking/running, painting miniatures, and board games are some of my favorites.
I swim 4x a week, paint and make music:)
Playing guitar, video games, listening to hard blues rock. Gotta say that it shapes my laid back view of life so I can relax.
Reading, painting, listening to music and travelling.
I recently got I to climbing and I love it!! Also walking around neighbour or hiking. Otherwise I like crocheting, sewing, thrifting and embroidery, while listening to music or stories that are meant to scare you. :D
Motorcycling through the country by myself
Camping, combat sports, lifting weights etc.
Kinda funny how much pressure was put on me during childhood to read, study etc, but now the things I enjoy the most are physical things. Sure, I do enjoy reading the occasional book or science articles, and am writing a book myself in fact, but the things I enjoy the most are physically intense things.
33(F) - gaming, reading, keeping generally active (walks, moderate hikes, light weights) and cats. Just all the cats.
Love hiking, car related stuff, electronics tinkering and recycling, guitar, gaming. Been on a sim racing kick as of late, very therapeutic to just fly down a virtual highway as fast as you want with no real life repercussions
I run, work out, hike, collect and listen to vinyl (and cd's still, lol), play board games solo, lockpick, read, motorcycle. I hang out with my adult daughter every Saturday evening, and my adult son on Sunday if he's not working.
I don't really play on my phone (no social media or games) or sit in front of the TV (done with video games after spending 20 years of my adult life doing nothing but consuming food and alcohol, sitting in front of the tube, and getting fat), unless there's a specific show or movie I want to watch.
I personally love scrolling through IG and then blaming myself for wasting time👆😃
Humor aside, I like to write. I’ve realized that I’ve projected a lot of my struggles and thoughts and feelings into my stories. Inadvertently, I also created a character who became my role model; and I one day had an epiphany that I loved her so much possibly because she was the embodiment of the qualities I strongly desired myself to have.
Happy Planning, cross stitching, video games (comes in phases), puzzles, board games
Painting
TV (particularly kdramas ATM, but branching off into other Asian dramas lately)
Knitting
Taekwondo
My main hobby has been learning Spanish for the past two years. I also like learning about philosophy and psychology, mainly through the internet and podcasts.
Listening to Audiodramas, diy (especially stuff like battle vests, patches :)) and of course talking about audio dramas like I'm a mad scientist with a corkboard, red string, and too much free time (my mum is very annoyed by me)
I got into reading old magazines. It offers a great escape by transporting you to another time period. You can select the time that you want to explore by finding old magazines from that time. I prefer magazines from the 1920s. It was a very prosperous time and the magazines have a sense of celebration about them. The 1950s is good too. Another post-war prosperous time.
I (52m) recently discovered Lego and I love it. Spent way too much money though...
