Also Angela suddenly wanting to check Michael’s phone, out of the blue and he just happened to have all his “scamming” there for her to find was fake. Angela would be checking Michael’s phone every single day trying to catch “him cheating and lying”. Anything in his phone she knew was there, it was just another excuse to berate Michael and throw something on him in public.

Did you read the OP?! She explained it's common to send documents via What'sApp to be printed out at internet cafes. I imagine this is true in many countries where people have smart phones, but don't have easy access to computers or printers. WhatsApp is a very common way to communicate in many countries, because it's free. You are confabulating the Paradise men's group with sending documents to an internet cafe to be printed out. To apply for a visa or permanent resident status the spouse of the applicant needs to supply hard copies of tax returns for several years, pay stubs, social security number..... so much documentation!

Honestly - Americans have the luxury of lesser need (and less money, and time) for travel, to se a lot of diverse landscape, climates etc, and also not have to change language or currency, which makes is way too easy for Americans, to only focus on thier own nation. And Navels. :-)

Paired with what we in Europe learn about Flatearthers and Creationists, bombing natural progress backwards at unheard of speed (how, just HOW are they allowed, and even supported??) is such a scary phenomena, and againg show us all, what damage organized religion does, especially when controlled by all the wrong ppl.

It is therefore also unfathomable for us over here, that social wellfare and everyday security for food etc, is relying solely on 'churchppl' and different charities - meaning at the mercy of some followers of segregrating cults, of various sizes.

Nope, no thanks - I shouldnt have to follow a certain cult to find a sense of community or belonging, - or even deserving.

I love that you know and have experienced that fact, about the vast diversity of the european countries, in both landscape, culture, food, music etc.

I was once on holiday in Switzerland with my Swiss partner, and we decided to visit his sister for lunch, so we popped by, just half an hour drive. She lived in Italy. :-)

They've established that she sends him money. When we first met them he worked, but soon after he stopped working so she must support him financially. For example she pays for his phone which is why she is very comfortable taking it from him. She seemed to have a good job as a nurse and had decent amount of money saved as she was supporting her grandkids, and her ailing mother. Also she paid for her own bariatric surgery later on so she is clearly very comfortable financially.

I think part of scamming someone is creating this psychological dependency. Like even if she figures he's a scammer and gets upset, there's a small bit of hope that he may not be, so she keeps the relationship going. On his end he knows how unstable and explosive she can be, yet he keeps putting up with it, presumably because he knows she is his best bet for coming to the US.

He does not get any 90 F. money. He is a foreigner.

you can commit a crime here without being here , so you’re wrong there . esp with hacking etc , they can charge you here and dependent on the treaty with that country request extradition. that being said . him taking his/her phone in a foreign country isn’t a crime committed here , he could murder her and they would have to try him there .

as i said, whether the united states has jurisdiction depends on the applicable law. in some areas of law it applies, in others, it doesn't.

if you're really interested, you can google "extraterritorial jurisdiction." or just remain willfully ignorant and try to lawsplain to a lawyer on reddit. your choice.
