Whoa, that plant looks straight outta Jurassic Park or something, so cool! Thanks for sharing!
Nothing's going on.
Billie made a comment about HERSELF doing long tours and how it's crazy. And a few very vocal swifities took this out of context and attacked Billie/Billie fans. Then a few very vocal Billie fans retaliated.
Billie manager also like a shady tweet against Taylor for being number 1, but like...Taylor is an artist too and has every right to promote her album, same as Billie, same as literally every musician to ever exist. Which like fair, he worked hard, Billie + Finneas worked hard, the fans streamed and loved the album, so not getting that debut #1 spot probably hurts and is kinda sad. But that doesn't mean there's any beef.
Basically just useless people trying to create drama. Neither Billie nor Taylor have commented to my knowledge.
I love that on tour she speaks so much! She doesn't talk in public much I assume due to distrust but let's out her emotions on tour. Plus, she's just so comfortable on stage and making eye contact with fans constantly.
The tour is just a fun time!
Oh whoa I literally never thought of this interpretation before!
I always assumed she was speaking to a hypothetical person looking for a partner or friend or anyone who knows what it's like to hate life ao much that they daydream instead lol.
In the song she's exploring different times and places and they all suck cuz boring bfs or mean/bigoted people exist anywhere and anywhen, so she escapes into her mind where there is peace.
I have no basis for this lmao, just how I took the song hehe.
Ahaha Gretchen really did know what's up
Who's afraid of little old me remains super relevant!
So many people in the industry are annoyed that she's killing it. And I get that they also worked hard and put a lot of thought and emotion into their music, but it's not Taylor's fault she's so popular. She worked hard and earned it.
Not to mention Taylor does so little promo compared to other artists. If she was going to interviews and talk shows and pap walks for TTPD you can bet people would say she's pushing too hard, even though that's what most pop artists do. And she released like 10-15 extra songs on streaming for free, but she's still greed incarnate cuz she had an average number of vinyl variants?? The hypocrisy is wild. Taylor at least has never shied away from her desire for musical and career accolades.
Aww! These are so cute - Kaling looks to be having a fun time being a mad scientist haha.
Shubert being an absolute stud and supporting Ollie is fun!
Seeing Khali and Rasha living life is so precious too π₯Ή, omg their story was so heartbreaking.
And ofc Edea and Seren being icons πβ‘οΈ
Oh you're completely right, I never even thought about it in terms of cycles/patterns - that's probably why she has so many youngster metaphors on this album.
I thought it was about the difficulties women face in general, and then also about (mostly Scooter and Scott) and a little about Kimye.
But I guess multiple interpretations is the fun part lol.
Your comment gives such "No, YOU miscalculated!!" energy lol
That's so precious π₯Ή and right on for being present and strong!
Unironically though, taylor does actually have 2 songs that have helped me on my sober journey so maybe it'll help someone reading this:
- This is my trying; I prefer the long pond studio session version cuz of her vocals
- Clean; I prefer the new version cuz of the production
IWNDWYT, friends!
Tfw when I'm a hardcore swiftie and king gizzard and the lizard wizard fan πππ
Same! (Not a new swiftie), but I love how Taylor and her team out in so much effort for the tour, puzzles/promo, and really appreciate her songs where she sings to the audience like dear reader or the manuscript. Every fan I know who's met or worked with her has had a great time! No one can fake authenticity for 2 decades haha.
Completely agree, I can accept private usage for touring and maybe a few special occasions, but she and others shouldn't be so wanton with their jet usage since they need to be the leaders of positive change even if its not technically their "jobs" - wealthy people need to do a better job!
Oh for sure, sorry I mean based on the proportion of commercial and cargo planes exceeding the number of private planes, but you're absolutely right, thanks for pointing that out!
I live in a big city so I'm pretty lucky to have public transport and trains and don't even need to own a car (probably much more difficult for those who live in rural or suburban areas).
People wanna talk about private jet usage (and I think that's an important discourse for sure!). But with over 20,000 planes in the air it seems that the majority of this pollution is from commercial air travel, rather than private usage.
As someone who's worked in environmental sciences, restricting plane usage is neither feasible nor very helpful. A better goal would be to ask our representatives to lobby for research that focuses on clean/less harmful fuel sources.
Unfortunately this is also difficult with trillion dollar industries behind it to keep the status quo, but stopping Beyonce and Jay Z and Taylor Swift and Travis Scott from flying their planes isn't gonna make a dent. I wish celeb accountability was greater, but as a scientist it's annoying when environmental discourse always looks to blame users/consumers rather than the industry.
When it's burn the bitch they're shrieking, when the truth comes out it's quiet. It's soo quiet.
Wow, your level of detail is honestly inspiring lol. Thank you so much, I love seeing musical breakdowns, especially from folks who might not have originally been too versed with a given artist.
My sister used to wear hair loopies for a couple years cuz of Katara haha πββοΈπ
The fact that you took like 10 photos is so camp lol, I love it.
To answer your question, it should be fine, I know lots of guys who had hairlines around a similar position when they were teenagers (all 25-35 now).
I think some people's side widow peaks (is there an actual name for these?) just start further back than others.
Edit: Golly woke up to so many comments. I just meant camp as in dramatic/over the top, a little silly and stupid, but also quite fun since 2 or 3 pictures would've sufficed. Yes, camp aesthetic does originate from queer communities as some commenters mentioned, but that's not an insult in my mind. Nor did I mean it to imply gay, unless of course you mean the original definition of gay - merry/happy/bright.
Given the fact that she sold a below average number of vinyl variants AND the fact that she released 15 extra songs on streaming on RELEASE DAY, this just becomes an even greater feat. Congrats, TTPD is a great album imo cuz with every additional listen I find new interpretations. Happy it's breaking records!
Wait there are people that genuinely prefer side A over the anthology!? Damn, I was loving the Stevie nicks vibes from the second half.
And on a 31 track album too eh!?
I'm just happy she actually re-recorded new vocals for these acoustic versions so they actually fit the acoustic sound π
