Loved our stay at hilton tokyo (have stayed twice). Have also stayed at Conrad tokyo. If this is $350 for whole stay and not per night I would definitely recommend. The executive lounge is great and it seems like they are underselling the awesomeness in their email.

great point. but the cove/beach seems hard enough to access that you don’t have people not in resort walking to it or through it. there are a couple smaller boats that anchor in the cove/beaches next to it. have also seen dolphins and manatees swimming next to the beach as well.

longtime lurker. I sure had FOMO for the past couple years about not investing in the STR game as many of my physician colleagues had. I can’t believe the awful stories many of the AirBNB hosts post about recent guests. From unfair reviews, trashed houses to a story like this! Has it gotten worse for hosts in the past year or so or has this been ongoing? Also, I hope this guest’s guest did go the ER. These type of burns can often cause airway damage that can be life threatening but not be apparent for 12-24 hours later as the throat and lungs swell from the delayed thermal damage.

unpopular opinion, but I think you have a fabulous plan. obviously, more than 3 days in vietnam, etc (3 days is enough for dubai) would be ideal, but three days is better than no days in those countries and it would be a hell of a way to enjoy a month. make sure you get some uppers (provigil) and downers (ambien) prescribed to help with the jet lag if you go through with this plan as your pineal gland will be thoroughly confused.

Anthony Bourdain. I met him in Feb 2012 as we were both dropped off at the departures level at a nearly deserted Indy Airport (ahhh, travel during the good ol days…). I was on my way to Africa for a trip 100% inspired by his shows and writing. He looked very tired, having just the night before done an event with his friend, Eric Ripert, in bloomington, but was kind enough to allow a picture. He then enjoyed breakfast at harry and izzy’s with his crew. As far as I am concerned there was no one else I’d rather have met. RIP Anthony.

all due respect this is a different scenario. You’re asking to come in a few hours earlier and willing to pay for the accommodation. You seem like an ideal guest.

ok in US generally, but we found europe did not love this and we often had to book two rooms even though we had young kids (germany particularly rulse-y, but otherwise amazing place to visit as a family)

reward=ticket to the camp. it does not equal transportation to get to the camp.

Strong work! I’m (40M) built like you (pre pic) and am down 30lbs but my arms are not revealing muscles like that! holy cow. do you mind sharing any strength/nutrition tips? I’m concerned about muscle wasting with continued weight loss but you have clearly figured out the secret sauce.
