Never experienced government procurement, eh?
Someone make that Family Guy Noah's Ark meme.
The name brand stuff has really exploded in price. Store brand stuff has gone up, but not by enough to change my spending habits. Local stuff seems to be fine. There have been a few blips, like that time eggs jumped in price for a while with that whole chicken die-off.
I think it's disingenuous to blame it on a US President or even just one branch of the national government when there are so many factors at work. Corporations feel like they can get away with anything, and have mostly been proven correct. That isn't a partisan thing, that's a late stage capitalism thing. Even without corporate greed-- In 2021, the top five states for food production were California, Iowa, Nebraska, Texas, and Minnesota. Shipping costs could have changed, water rights have been changed and finding workers is more difficult.
Look, this is a Maryland subreddit.
You can either be a jerk and pay him money, like it was some transaction-- or you can take him to get some fucking crabs.
Ah. Understandable.
I hate this headline. It misuses an excellent pun.
Baby crabs are zoea.
Baby oysters are spat.
Missed opportunity, editor. Missed opportunity.
Hopefully in before some wise ass is like "Yeah, maybe they can afford to fix my pothole now"...
Here is where cannabis tax money currently is supposed to go according to legislation:
Community Reinvestment and Repair Fund: A significant portion of the tax revenue is allocated to this fund, which supports community reinvestment and repair, particularly in communities that have been disproportionately impacted by cannabis prohibition.
Public Health and Safety: Some of the revenue is designated for public health and safety programs, including substance abuse treatment and prevention programs.
Administrative Costs: Part of the tax revenue covers the costs of administering the cannabis program, including regulatory oversight and enforcement.
Education and Training: Funds are also used for education and training programs related to cannabis use and its effects, aimed at both the general public and specific groups such as healthcare providers.
It took 6 hours, but: u/9294858838 is indeed done, and not just on Reddit.
(Just taking a shot, in case I turn out to be right.)

Depends on the department and type of employment.
For full time regular employment, when you are hired, they have to interview you with a diverse committee. There is usually a time period (Around 6 months) where you are considered on probation. If you haven't proven yourself, they can extend your probation. They can fire you with cause during this probation period. After that, it is a long and slow lumbering process to get fired. In both cases you can appeal.
There are also positions in the State that are considered "At-Will Employment." You can be fired from those jobs at any point at the discretion of your appointing supervisor. So, if for example, you work for a legislator, they can hire you without a diverse committee and they can fire you for whatever reason. No appeal.
It's a problem, because it is undemocratic.
However, the costs of a special election are crazy and the logistics the SBE have to deal with is heavy-- especially during an election year. Even if it is mail-only.
I dislike Henson. She is combative and defensive. I don't know why.
A friend sent an email to her office asking why she voted against Abortion Care Access Act and she complained that there was a whisper campaign against her-- even though she voted against the bill and overriding the governor's veto.
For context, this is the same bill that Hogan is getting flack for and is used as proof he is lying about being an women's health advocate.
Dana Jones should be the obvious choice of the two.
edit: fixed some pre-coffee word salad.
Strangely, the mug was filled with water. This is just what happens when she doesn't drink coffee.
Gently nothing.
This is the kind of shit I wish I had the time to do. See someone litter, take the litter to their home, leave it on their doorstep.
Make sure you wait 24-48 hours after a rainfall before going in the river.
Runoff can contain some pretty groady stuff.
Be able to take my nephew to the park without having people come up to me and asking what I'm doing.
Now I must know if druids brown their leggings each time the shift to their humanoid form after consuming too much food in their other form...
It's a real Animorphs problem...
