I have a 2021 Scapel 2 with the Ocho and am experiencing the same issue. Resetting the bearing every time I add 5 psi or when I realize that I've been riding with 80mm travel (not the stock 100mm) is a major PITA. The fork has done this since day 1 of hitting the trails, so I cannot prescribe to the idea that it needs to be serviced. The LBS has been nice enough to offer to send it back to Cdale but I"m feeling it's waisted money as no one online has a 'fix' for this air pressure/travel issue. I have an XCM race at the end of June, so I guess I'll wait until after that.

Love that frame. I remember selling that back in my bike shop days. EV3 race geometry on a budget!

I've ridden them both. Currently riding an Impulso(rim brake version) w/SRAM Red & HED Ardennes. My GF is still on her INFCV.

Rad. Fingers crossed on the weather, we're hitting that route this month as well.

Good question! Both bikes ride wonderfully when spec'd the same; grouppo, wheels, etc. The Sprint has always been the stepchild of their range with sales dominating the INFCV platform. I feel there's more development that went into the INFCV frame than the Sprint. Albeit the Sprint does have nicer more modern styling, the INFCV is a lighter frame and if you're riding a 59cm or 61cm, the size specific(larger diameter) downtube on the INFCV makes it a faster sprinting bike. ;)

CV is still within the range shown on the website, but now that category models such as the Oltre and Specialissima are broken down into three(four for Oltre with an Aria re-naming to Oltre?) models instead of just one model containing CV, technically speaking, there are fewer models with CV.

I hope it stays within the product range. I've ridden it on long rides, even hit a pothole whilst riding no-handed on a 2015 INFCV, and the bike didn't dump onto the ground... it took the brunt of the impact. It's pretty fantastic stuff, but it's still sad that Italy doesn't 'lead' with the CV narrative in their marketing to set apart the brand from other brands: Canyon, Cannondale, Specialized, Trek, etc.

IMHO the XR4 disc is still a relevant bike by design and performance. Even since the rim brake version that was launched back in summer of 2016, the aero advancements, testing, performance of Countervail material all transferred over to the disc brake version and still makes it a superbike, to date.

Here's my clip of the back-then product designer talking about some of the features and benefits of the XR4, when it first came out. https://youtu.be/BDPv9lDv9ug?si=_6Hm6G4O-S2e1N-Z

K-Vid is an Aramid (Kevlar) fiber woven with carbon as a sheet/layer used to wrap the tips of the fork and in some models such as earlier Via Nirone, Intenso, C2C 928 frames had it at the seat stays near the drop outs, too. It 'took the edge' off of road-buzz.

CV/Countervail is a hyper-nano graphine particulate infused into the resin used for pre-preg carbon fiber sheet production. Countervail is considered to be the finished product- pre-preg carbon fiber sheets with graphine in the resin. This allows for the carbon under harsh impacts to become 'visco-elastic' i.e. soften and absorb the impact and / or vibrations and return to a stiff state after impact. CV makes the frame stiff yet more comfortable to the rider yielding a fast sprinting frame yet comfortable to ride on long audax, brevets, etc.

Sadly Bianchi is moving away from using it in their bicycles. If I ever get the chance to buy a 2015-2018 Infinito CV, I'm getting one. That bike rides so amazingly well.

Typically the next size up is a 32c so just go with the 28c until you get wider rims.

I've been riding the Impulso (rim brake version) since 2011 and can speak to this. The max tire fitment is a 30mm tire on the stock wheelset. If you have a wider rim such as a HED Ardennes which has a 25mm external width, 28mm is the largest tire as it will be stretched out to 30mm after installed on the HED rim. Never trust the hotstamp measurement on the tire as they're typically incorrect.

Yeah, basically. It doesn't make sense to say 'starting off the year...' when it's already March. And a bad habit/ conditioned by having kids in college and paying with loans- DadLife.

I have a hip pack, made by roadrunner bags out of California. Big enough to hold a six or 7 inch lock you might be able to coil up a cable to fit inside of it. good construction and a fair price for being American made..

Great set up and all the best!

I did not. And cannot find anything on the Somafabshop.com website stating the RR uses the exact tubing as their Rush frame (that uses db Tange tubing).

A definite good value and quality ebike with that Bosch mid-drive system. ✌🏼

Nice.

This one was just Carribean Jerk seasoning which was a good switch for us as most of our stews/coconut-based meals use 5-spices or some blend of a curry seasoning.

It’s a lot to copy and paste. I found it in the cookbook- Vegan 100. A must have book of recipes by Gaz Oakley.
