That’s not true in any way. The unemployment rate doesn’t count people who do not intend to work right now.

They were already big deal but switching to free over the air and basic cable broadcasts blew it up even more, a lot of times you can forget the Raiders are even there

Yes but the goalie’s safety. Their helmet works fine for pucks in front of them, not much else

Goals that would be disallowed are ok if it was really cool

Since when did hockey start their playoffs in October

DSG charges higher carriage fees, Comcast responds by choosing to move their channels on more expensive plans.

The end result is DSG has less subscribers and Comcast makes more money. Comcast didn’t want to lose the subscribers who don’t watch a Bally channel but were going to have their bill go up, DSG survives off of the fees from those people.

They basically lost their whole third line and a couple of bodies on defense.

Cup winners usually can’t afford their depth, if they want to stay relevant the have to go out and find undervalued guys and projects coming off of injury or buyout

A guy who likes playing with the other Finns making sure he stays part of the plan on the team that drafted him and won a cup with him is a tax thing now?

You clearly didn’t watch. We were a super banged up team for a huge chunk of the year, Bob got sick and Lyon stepped in to play his ass off.

Not a chance, not for Chris Driedger at least. This is absolutely an emergency plan move, especially with the contract being <$1m

Definitely not for Driedger

The taxes aren’t as big of a deal as fans make it out to be. Signing bonuses are taxed significantly lower than US teams and somebody mid to late career can dump a large chunk into an RCA and get the overall taxes within like 5%

What? At $1.15m it could have been 8 years and the only person it affects is Viola.

If he gets waived his cap hit is $0, think of the term as a cap-exempt gift for game 7 if he doesn’t play out the whole deal.
