Thank you very much for the comment, and it’s true, never enough trackballs! I just brought my em04 in my pocket for my internship working with ArcGIS Pro and doing lots and lots of mouse movements. Wow, what a refreshment. It’s also really light on the hand if compared to the EM03, And it made my job a lot more enjoyable today. The ability to just bring it on and pair it through Bluetooth without any hassle at all was amazing. I am starting my New office job next week and I am for sure bringing one of those as a permanent replacement over there!

Small review of ProtoArc EM03 and EM04 - Replacement for my Logitech M570.

Started using trackballs again in the last few months and wanted to replace my M570. It worked fine but having to remove the receiver from my computer to use with my laptop whenever I wanted to take it with me started to become a hassle. I started looking for some affordable options and read into a few of them and pulled the trigger on the EM04 at first. They are similar in so many ways, which is great for me since I was very accustomed to thumb trackballs! I love that it actually has the ability to change DPI and the Bluetooth option works quite nicely.

A few weeks into using it (and starting an internship at my County), I saw this older man using a Kensigton index trackball, which was wired. I ended up looking back on Amazon and found the EM03. I did not expect it to be THAT BIG. but it's great and it feels amazing on my wrist (Besides being fairly familiar with thumb trackballs, sometimes I do feel some strain). It has the RGB Ring on it which is not distracting and it's not super bright. Just perfect. I love that you can insert the receiver unlike the little door that the EM04 has. They are both USB-C which is a big plus for me.

The Bluetooth on the EM03 seems a lot more responsive, and the big ball took me a few days to get used to. I had to go back on the amazon page to check how to change DPI. Which they had a button like the EM04, but it's extremely more responsive than the EM04 (maybe it's Bluetooth 5.2? I couldn't really find), but it makes it perfect for my needs when taking with me on the go. I have used the EM04 more outside, with my laptop, while the BEHEMOTH EM03 stays at my desk (and soon at my new office job!).
Just wanted to shed some light on those. Didn't want to pull the trigger on the expensive MX Ergo, neither found that the M575 would really suffice my needs. They both can pair to two Bluetooth devices + 2.4ghz dongle.

If you guys have any questions, let me know. I went from 1 trackball to 4 and I have been loving it, LOL.
2x EM04, 1x EM03 and the M570 in the drawer. :)

Battery health is actually really good. Like 96%. I don't plan on doing it now. I might be able to squeeze 1-2 years out of it to be honest. It doesn't bug me at all and it's a good starter watch, to see if I will actually end up using It. I really want the alarm/sleep mode or whatever, so I can actually wake up on time since my iPhone hasn't been ringing my alarm recently.

why is your resume bad? what makes u think that?

Curious question. I will be starting a M-F Position. 8-5 M-T and 8-2 Friday. Unsure how that's gonna be split.
Sounds like I can get 30m breaks M-T and Just 6hrs on Friday. Hopefully it will turn out okay

I get your point, and I did on paper trade 10% of my wage. However, finally getting into an actual career seems like a great opportunity not to mention they offer education as well as certifications in the area that I can take advantage of Not to mention, I got out of a kitchen or barely one actually It is 10% however I’m getting 5% matching and I currently have no insurance at all so those are some bricks and I might be even able to work from home a few days, and I can’t do that in the kitchen

How much are you willing to sacrifice on hourly wage vs benefits, QOL, commute?Compensation

To give some context, I was making 22 an hour at a fast food restaurant, which was driving me insane. I was an assistant general manager, but I did not have many higher level responsibilities mostly just making food and standing long shifts when people wouldn’t show up, etc. I did get offered some overtime, but honestly, I did not want to do it so it happened very rarely. I just landed an IT job which I’m getting my degree on and have some certifications that’s gonna pay me 22 an hour, but I will have access to a 401(k) matching of 5% a s I just landed an IT job which I’m getting my degree on and have some certifications that’s gonna pay me 22 an hour, but I will have access to a 401(k) matching of 5% a slightly shorter commute by five minute, slightly shorter commute by five minutes , as well as real career opportunities given that this is like a entry-level job in the IT field, where I really want to work at.

So the question is how much do you guys value these sort of stuff versus just the hourly wage? Part of me is torn between making less money and part of me is happier. I would not have to sit on my feet for 10 hours and I will actually do something that uses my brain and ad Part of me is torn between making less money and part of me is happier. I would not have to sit on my feet for 10 hours and I will actually do something that uses my brain other than just my body

I should’ve. You’re absolutely right. The excitement of leaving my fast food restaurant and stuff was so great I forgot the details. They offer 401k matching so I guess you’re also right about the W-2

New Job and questions about paperwork HR

So I just got a new job! I was informed to bring my Social Security on my first day and she mentioned through the phone that we need to fill out my I-9.

Does that mean I will be a W-2 Employee? I just want to make sure since I am not very familiar with 1099 and w-4 forms. I was read my benefits and etc so I assume it's a w-2 position but I just want some reassurance If possible on this kind of paperwork.

Thank you for that. I always wanted a gun. This looks great for EDC. I will get used to shooting at a gun range first before anything, though.

Damn, sounds like a great deal. 380$ ish. I have never owned a gun, but I am in Florida. From my understanding it is a "permitless carry" state now. I am super interested on this. Sounds like a great addition.
