The price difference is only half that here in Australia.

Including upgraded off road suspension, upgraded brakes, body work, and off road riding modes isn't free.

To me the SV650 seems the obvious choice here.

It most closely satisfies the cheap, easy to work on requirement you have

More realistically it's a horse. But DR650 otherwise.

Yea really any of those mid sized Adventure bikes or their road focused versions would do this job well.

If you are looking at a brand new bike the Transalp or VStrom 800RE are great value for money.

Yea? Is it significantly different looking than an MT07, Z650, Duke, etc?

I'm from New Zealand and my licences transferred directly over.

Looking at the vicroads website it does state you must have had your full licence for 3 years for that to happen.

And from what you have said you will only have had yours for 2 years at the most? But it does count your time in Germany so you will only have to be on the restricted licence for the 3 years minus how long you have had it in Germany.

Great episode.

I did get overly annoyed at him saying NDEs tho. Near death experience is 6 syllables. You ain't saving enough time to make it worth using an abbreviation.

Yea. Having super strength tends to help.

Some people are idiots.

They may or may not drive a white Toyota Yaris.

I almost always carry a utility knife in addition to my edc knife when at work.

For some of the tasks you described a utility knife will do a better job and also mean you don't have to sharpen your knife twice a week. Cutting boxes, ropes, and opening cement bags in particular will dull your knife fast and is just quicker and easier with a utility.

Otherwise absolutely carry a Mora too. Sometimes you need something for harder use.

Barely.

I scrolled at least 50 posts this morning and didn't see a single one. And that's pretty normal.

Do you have some really specific reasons for this route?

If you absolutely have to go to San Sebastian you should ride east through the Pyrenees on the way back for sure.

Yea that's what I thought. About the most boring option available in that part of the world.

Are you specifically restricted to 50cc? Just don't want to get your motorcycle licence?

Because it's really hard to get a 50cc that isn't a scooter or a kids dirt bike. Lots of 125cc options tho.

95% of young dudes don't run someone down at a crosswalk...

More sun or cold weather protection and that's about it.

A mid sized Adventure bike. The Troumph Tiger 900 is a solid choice.

That's like a thousand bucks more than they cost here in Australia. But no idea where you are so I can't say.

For a 10 year old R1 here in Australia it's the equivalent of $270 usd for a year of registration. And $640 usd a year for insurance with all coverage including gear, and roadside assist.

Your local gear store or motorcycle dealership. Try all gear on before you buy, especially helmets.

They don't really compare.

One is just a utility blade, the other is a multi tool
