mac & cheese tarts. or shepherds pie tarts.

the hull b is supposed to be able to land loaded. they're figuring out either how to make that work or putting off telling us it won't.

I use peanut oil for everything, and especially frying

it was getting really obnoxious. it was a lot. someone coming here would think all we do in this city is smoke weed and drive.

I guess they could've made it a megathread, but this works too. saves me having to block every poster.

if it's small pieces you can make yourself a stew. there are some with wine in the recipes.

not sure if a missing door (except to the hallway) would count as something that warrants calling a hotel room non functional.

there are a million ways to cook beef on a stovetop. unless you bought a big pot roast, which is weird thing to buy if you don't have an oven. do you have pans or a pot with a lid?

I'm starting to roll my eyes as soon as I see a post with 'what compensation can I expect?'. like every stay is a puzzle where you win a prize if you find a problem.

look, you said they were sold out, so they had no choice giving you that room, and if they weren't sold out they wouldn't have. the last guest must've damaged the door or something. would it have made you happy if they didn't sell that room and didn't have a room for you at all?

it's probably just the gaminess you're smelling, but it'll be great, you'll see.

aw I'm jealous. a deer backstrap I had last year was the best piece of meat I've ever had in my life. I let it sit in hoisin sauce overnight and before cooking I patted it dry and covered it in montreal steak spice. it was insanely good.

I remember I was interested in this before and I think there was really bad wildfire smoke that day. maybe I'll check it out this time.

(edit) I just looked up the location. wasn't it in the west before, near confed? anyway, hope I can check it out. :-)

when I was a kid I was told I talked in my sleep in german. I didn't know how to speak german then...

yes, they're serious about max occupancy. every hotel is. it's local fire code. if you bring more people than allowed they can refuse you the room when you get there, and it WON'T be the hotel's fault.

wherever you book, make sure it's noted in the reservation that it's a honeymoon stay. the nicer hotels like to do things to make this kind of occasion special. it wouldn't hurt to also call a few days ahead and mention it to the concierge or front desk, maybe casually in the course of asking some questions. you may get a nice upgrade or something out of it. don't demand or anything, of course, because it's not a given.

here's an exhaustive description of what it is and what it (and other salts) is for

resort view typically means NOT with a view of anything that would be a selling point, like the pool or the ocean. it would be on the inland side of the hotel facing away from the water. if it says ocean tower, then it would probably be the inland facing side of that.

this video starts with kind of a drone view, and behind the hotel you can see what you'd probably be facing.

if you have some meat or potatoes you can make a tasty soup. you have enough cabbage and carrots for 4 big batches though, so yeah that's a lot.

fyi you CAN give things back to the food bank if it's more than you need.

when they get to the hotel they'd better have corporate ID if they'll end up paying more or be refused the room, and it WON'T be marriott's fault. their marriott accounts and points could also be lost if we go in their history and see a pattern of fraud.

I see several that won't work anyway.

you can reserve all you want. they'll only let you keep 2 when you arrive.

it's 2 room per member though, so if there are 2 aaa members you can book 4, etc.
