If you’re a freshman, it sounds like you have a couple years to figure out which you like more. Try asking students in each of those programs what they think would be more beneficial, there might be someone with similar goals to you

Depends on how large your company is. Huge defense contractors it wouldn’t be as much involvement, but smaller shops would definitely take into account machining concerns and ideas from techs

Student loan debt is absolutely crippling upon graduation and will financially set you back years next to your peers with none. I have found if you go to a medium sized engineering college, you are able to stand out of the crowd more and that will take you further than any school name. There is no company that solely hires from any single school, they all have standout folks from schools of all sizes.

Sounds like you enjoy the hands on work. I would look into an Aerospace Technology degree. Engineers are typically only working in offices while technicians are always working out in the field

If you can get accepted into an engineering Masters program and do well in it, then by all means go for that. Problem is most engineering Masters programs require an engineering bachelors or maybe physics/math. The graduate engineering courses are heavily dependent on the upper level engineering courses knowledge base.

I think what I was really itching for was some energy in the singing. Even on Social Cues we had some high energy vocals in Broken Boy or House of Glass. Hoping we get some more of those on the new album, that’s what really ties them back to their original sound.
