I don't mind it and for every one of those posts there's another asking us to rate 6 squires and a line 6. It's fun to see what other gear people are using... keep em coming!

Yeah the Shivas don't sell as fast as you think. I had my mine for sale for a long time but couldn't get rid of it. When this trade came along I heard the 5150 I couldn't say no. I figure whatever I lost in dollar value I get back in karma with the Amp Trade Gods!

I know Shivas are listed high, but they rarely sell for that much. I think it's kind of a boutique market. That said, I see EVH is same range but have heard them selling for less. I bet the market is much bigger but way more inventory too.

"Thickness to its tone" is a great description of it and while I appreciate it, it wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

It was a win-win. My first trade ever and I let go the Bogner and got the 5150iii. Would never have considered it before but I actually love the 5150 and can't believe how versatile it is. It is f*#%in loud though!

The guy who picked up the Bogner drove 5 hours for it and it seemed like he needed something for mellow/quieter.

Thanks for weighing guys!

First to current:
Peavey Rage

Peavey Bandit (blue stripe)

Peavey Bandit (black/silver)

Marshall JCM 900 Combo (prob least favorite)

Mesa Boogie Tremoverb (graduated to big time!)

Mesa Boogie Rectoverb 25 combo

EVH 5150iii

Agree. Visited in Jan. It was sad to see a lot of old places shut but still had a great time and wasn't anywhere near as bad as anyone (republicans) have said.

They had a bad stint during pandemic but are great again! I will say I took American/United recently and they were much better than I remember. Blue terra chips gone but other snacks still pretty good. Plus Mosaic status is money

Use democracy: if everyone else can do it and thinks it's OK, he should too.

However, if more people support his reasoning, you need to rethink whether it's worthwhile to push (no pun intended) this new strategy. Sometimes you still should but you better have something to show for it.

Same reason they got into OODBs, Graphql and Agile

I kind of agree. My bandmate had one and it just sounded thin. Granted he was going up against my tremoverb but it still shoulda held up better than it did.

Singers should always decide setlist as their instrument is affected by it the most. - me (Guitarist)

Yeah maybe I'm a decade too early for this. But thanks for replying

80s Glam Band venue?Things to do

LA was the glam band capital of the world in the 80s. Is there anywhere in the city that tries to recreate this experience in 2024 (the decor, appropriate cover bands, waitstaff dressed in leather/spandex/tons of hairspray)

If there isn't, would this be a cool idea or not?

A few not yet mentioned: Legend of Kage Space Harrier Afterburner

Super Sprint was a great one... could play it forever

I would take a break and see how it feels.

I was in a band because one member was such an asshole, had drug problems, etc, etc. I tried to get another member to talk to him about his behavior and he wasn't up for it because he was too afraid the band might break up. Instead I quit and I don't think they've really been playing since.

There's always gonna be some stuff you have to deal with, but it doesn't make sense to keep going if it doesn't feel right and is stressing you out too much.

Dude it was great to see him up so close. Seen ABB many times but never up front so it was a treat. I also saw him outside running to his tour bus in the square, so prob right after the tornado dust moment haha

Great story! I was at that show and loved that venue. RIP Dickey

He was a quadruple threat: songwriting, lead playing, outstanding rhythm, and a great singer to boot. Never thought about this until last week, but he's probably my single biggest influence. RIP RAMBLIN MAN
