Old chef I used to work with would go insane if one told him to “chillax”

His response was violent.

Captain punishment.

Long story.

When I was a kid in the 90s we had this family friend, and his wife (M). At some point they split because she decided she was gay. No worries. M got married to a really nice woman (R) which was surprising because she deserved to die alone for being the hurtful beast she was.

At some point prior to the wedding, R has a relative pass and came in to a bunch of money. We’re talking in the hundreds of thousands.

To put it simply, they spent a fair chunk of it on the wedding, having a fox film crew to record the whole thing. A week after the honeymoon R asked M where all her money went, which started a fight so huge they never spoke again.

The DVD recording of their wedding hadn’t even been released yet.

Nice to know not to bother. Thanks!

Bodyguard.

Shit was fucking intense

Writing wasn’t perfect, had some very convenient loopholes from my perspective but was still a great show.

I mean, you’ve just described almost every horrible act over the last 2000 years

*not American

As an Aussie though, my office commute is 2-2.5 hrs each way.

In Europe, a 2-2.5 hour drive means you’re halfway to the next country.

Sometimes distance is relative.

r/comicbookmovies for having power-drunk mods that ban users for no reason.

I have very fond memories of playing through Doom2 and Wolfenstein 3d with my Nan.

At 60 years old she still loved playing 1st person shooters. What a champ.

As the technology got better (ie, Doom 3) where aiming was a thing she struggled to play but still tried and loved it.

I remember the games not because they were great but because of the time I could spend with my Nan on our hobbies.

Nan was the best.

I’ve always gone with the honest approach. If she gets jealous I can explain that I’m not trying to bang the friend and I’m with her.

If she continues to be jealous that’s her problem.

It’s worth trying to find out why he’s so tired, too.

Sorry for what you’ve gone through

I feel this one 100%

I’m a pretty solid advocate for gun control… because it works. It’s proven to work at about 99% effectiveness. Yes there’s still guns out there, but the gun violence has been reduced to “once or twice a year”.

And yet people just refuse to believe it works, get up in arms about it and downvote me into oblivion because they’d rather have their schools getting shot up daily than lose their right to own guns.
