If you check the Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB and Metacritic scores, Akira and GITS are more or less tied (each edging out the other on different sites).

So the idea that either one is vastly better than the other is a personal opinion not supported by the majority.

“There’s going to be a global conflict next year” is some shit a dime store psychic would say.

Plus what’s happening in Ukraine and Israel are regional, not global, anyway.

Your comment got me (over) thinking. We know that (allegedly) Bishop got an egg on board and infected Ripley in Alien 3, making the mission a success. They then used the scans from this to recreate the aliens in Alien 4. But what about “Marachek. John J… They killed him taking it off”. Presumably the company already had the medical scans from the colonists. Unless they lost contact with the colony and that data couldn’t be sent. Even so, all Bishop would have needed was to bring that data back if cloning was that good.

But I’m reading too much into it. Also we all know Resurrection makes zero sense.

Would you say you LITERALLY can’t even?

Two of their three demands are reasonable: providing/protecting the protesters right to peacefully demonstrate and making the university’s endowment portfolio public.

The demand to divest from all Israeli companies is certainly more controversial. But I feel like a compromise of divesting from all defense stocks is a fair way to handle this.

As other's noted, he should consider sharing a revenue split with the beat maker. Check the YouTube description/license for each beat and see if it mentions a split. If it doesn't, while he is certainly free to give the producer(s) a split anyway, he probably doesn't need to. If they don't spell out the terms of the license and merely say "free for profit" then I think it's pretty sensible to assume that it's (completely) free to use it for profit.

Bring back Lego Dimensions!

I need to bust that out and play it again. I have some of the actual figures plus a bunch of NFC stickers for all the other ones I wanted to

I unequipped all my gear for a quest. I forget specific reason why. Anyway when I equipped everything I forgot to put my guards back on and proceeded to grind without them for 6+ months.

This the same doctor who gave him hospital grade anesthetics in a back alley setting for clicks and views?

We’re bout to get a Raising Cane’s in Abington, Pa and my son who lives off of nothing but chicken fingers is breathless with anticipation.

I don’t think so. Even if OP blocked them in, calling the police for this is a ridiculous escalation.

We only have one side of this but I don’t really see any scenario where involving the police for this is okay.

The beach house where we stay in NJ has a shared drive and you just coordinate with the other person. If you’re blocked and they’re not there, you just deal with it.

EDIT: Also OP said elsewhere that the neighbor parks in the driveway itself, doing the same thing they called the cops over.

Night bells are so rare and so useless that you kinda just keep them just because.

Not to detract from it or anything but for everyone who “miraculously” survived, there were many who perished. So it’s really law of averages/survivor bias that accounts for these types of stories.

It boils down to arguments about semantics and definitions. I think many people would agree that what’s happening in Gaza is an example of an apartheid system and that Israelis, with the support of their government, are illegally occupying/annexing land. Do those things constitute genocide?

The dictionary says so. So people are using that as the buzzword to focus on to completely absolve the Palestinian terror organizations of their role in this conflict. And to make Israel out as a hypocrite, which they likely are to some extent.

But I do firmly believe that the majority of Israelis do not seek the complete annihilation of the Palestinian people which much of the rhetoric suggests. But there’s no question they are open to exploiting the situation to their gain.

Also, to the extent that someone can be said to have broken the “peace” and incited a wider war, that blame rests solely with Hamas and the other Palestinian terror organizations. Yes, Israel supported them financially at times but that’s tangential.

A lifetime spent in the service and support of the downtrodden and desperate but then you fuck ONE alligator and suddenly it’s all for nothing…

There is no doubt in my mind that conditions exist in which Putin would use nuclear weapons. What exactly those conditions are is anyone’s guess.

Every time we ramp up support for Ukraine by introducing a new (to their mind) escalation, we risk crossing that red line. Once nuclear weapons are used, things could go very bad, very quickly.

I’m not saying we should or shouldn’t be placing limits on the arms we provide but this is obviously the rationale behind doing so.
