I see just about every youtuber pushing the max rewards app, and it really does seem pretty helpful, so I was wondering if any of you guys actually use it and how has your experience been so far?
Yeah, same for me, some of the stuff they say doesn’t really align with how I see things lol but at the same time they do break things down quite well when new products or new bonuses come out so watching a 7-10 minute youtube video isn’t a huge price to pay to stay in the loop 😁
I was mostly curious about the app because I got an email from them this morning saying that they’re increasing the monthly fee and was trying to see if anyone is even paying for their service to begin with
USCIS website has a list of approved doctors whether you’re in the US or outside the US. You can find the closest one to you based on your location and zip code
Just wait for it to come in the mail and also reach out to Emma on Monday, see if they see something on their end. If your RFE comes - obviously do what they ask for. If not - double check with Emma and if they confirm that they don’t need anything from you - don’t worry about it
There’s still a little “watermark” on it to show that it’s real, so don’t overthink it, anyone who knows what they’re looking at will easily accept it as they should
Sent you a message
Not a vendor, but I went to a see a doctor a couple of months ago at a pretty big hospital and tried to pay my copay, they told me they don’t take Amex
Well then be patient, if it’s confirmed to be delivered to the right address then you have nothing to worry about. Welcome to the waiting game
Do you have a green card on hand? Is it a 2 or a 10 year? You should be able to get your DL renewed with just about anything that shows your legal status (if your state requires it)
When it comes to any visa - you can literally enter on the last day it’s valid, as long as your passport is valid for another 6 months. If you have a combo card - then you should definitely be good to go. Just be ready for secondary inspections and stuff
Do you have a tracking number? Did it ever get delivered?
Yes, sounds like you’re good to go. Just keep in mind that during your time out of status you won’t have a valid DL and stuff like that, but other than that - you should have no problem with AOS. Just be honest on your paperwork and interview if you ever have one
What does it say under your photo on the card?
It’s because your surgeon didn’t submit it as preventative. I have BCBS and it was fully covered because my surgeon submitted it as preventative. I’m sorry that happened to you but those things are usually discussed in advance. Reach out to your surgeon and see if they can resubmit the claim
So are you married to a USC? If so - then you don’t ever have to worry about any sort of overstay or visa violation (including unauthorized employment) as long as you’re still admissible based on your criminal history, etc.
If you ever overstay (especially over 180 days) - you probably definitely don’t want to leave the country. Read about 3 and 10 year bars from entry.
When it comes to refiling if your case is denied - you would have multiple options depending on the reason for denial, you could request to reopen the case or you could just file a completely new application.
When it comes to using attorneys - if you have a couple of grand then go with it just for peace of mind (which is what I did) but realistically you don’t need an attorney if your only concern is overstay after falling out of F-1 status. It really just depends on what you want to do.
The main reason why I used an attorney was that I didn’t want to deal with annoying paperwork and I wanted things filled out and filed asap because we were trying to beat the April fee increase
I think so, yeah. Not sure about smaller technicalities because haven’t been in that situation personally but I’m fairly certain you must comply with whatever status you have throughout the entire process if your spouse is a LPR.
If they’re a LPR then your unlawful presence or unauthorized work are not automatically forgiven. For some, it even makes sense to wait for the sponsoring spouse to become a USC first before sponsoring, so that the other person can get around those restrictions
USC? - Yes. LPR? - Definitely not. If married to a GC holder then you must maintain legal status throughout the entire process until your stuff is approved
I-485 is not strictly used to adjust status from having one, it's also used to simply register permanent residency, for example for those who fell out of status
Yes, if you fall out of status it will be forgiven as long as your spouse is a citizen. Just be sure to check the right boxes on the application. The only reason why anyone would want to maintain their status (other than attending school obviously) is to have a backup plan
I can recommend a good one in Nashville if you don't mind a little drive
You can trust, yes. Although it can be reversed and they can still schedule you one at any time if they decide to do so. Also, this question is in Q&A so your post will likely get deleted
Gotcha. Same here. Just wanted to make sure that the progress steps are just as obsolete as the estimated timeline 😁
What is the current step of your i485? Is it attend interview or case decision?
Yeah, logging in through them was a dealbreaker for me too. I’m sure they have decent security measures in place but also giving someone your info and then paying them on top of that didn’t sound like a great offer 😁
Do you guys actually use Max Rewards?
