I was merely attempting to speak to the question posed, which was "What does Trump have to do with this"? And the answer in this particular case is nothing, because you have not been influenced by Trumpism. To the extent that anyone could stretch to tie your comment/insult to Trumpism, I was attempting to clarify, as I see it, the means by which someone may have landed on that conclusion.
