I feel it picking up XL cargo for sure. And shifting weight. AND pissing!

I will just say—don’t bother with most roads until they’re on the network. Otherwise you’ll dump double the resources into them. There are a couple exceptions, like the bridge from the river over the canyon getting to South Knot. That’s just useful until you get in good graces with the Collector.

It went as low as $5 within the past six months I wanna say. So if you’re patient, you can get it for almost nothing.

Yep, I originally switched because I wanted to play HZD and TLOU. All of these plus ghost of tsushima & spider-man are incredible exclusives.

I used to have a clip of this happening to me, but I can’t find it now. Two porters were there, too. I don’t remember if I got a photo with everyone, but I did beat the shit out of the MULE, which scared away the porters.

It’s one take when it matters, and that’s in the moments as I described between cutscenes. You can’t even call them cutscenes.

Seconding Death Stranding. It’s very weird and very satisfying.

You should do a manual save when you get to the Deadman chapter. That’s all I’ll say about that, so as not to spoil you.

Plenty of shit makes its way onto premium screens. That’s a weird way to rate movies.

Yeah I was wondering how they’d pull it off a second time and was very impressed.

Jake Wind. He runs things over at the wind farm. Check your email!

Be sure you spam likes for useful online structures.

Likes are fuel for the tireless porters ahead of you, building generators in random spots that charge you up and save your ass in a pinch, dropping supplies in a postbox outside a MULE camp to prep you for battle, and climbing mountain peaks for optimum zipline placement.

Take a few seconds and mash that like button.

And they do it well. You can play basically the whole game without seeing a camera cut. The whole thing seamlessly transitions from your camera control to a single camera take scene and back into gameplay from the same camera. It’s a thing of beauty.

It’s such a great moment early-game. The physical toll getting up and over the hill, managing your way down the unfriendly slope, just to find yourself in more trying terrain with the ADDED stress of BTs. But once you get to Jake and can take a breath, ohh what a great feeling.

“goes unreasonably hard”

“doesn’t make a whole lot of sense”

After I got LL on every single order I was a little annoyed that absolutely zero recognition followed. It was the same feeling as when I crafted every single item the RDR2 trapper offered. Do you know how hard it is to find those little birds? Do you?!?

Black Sails is four great season of classic pirate shenanigans. It’s a precursor to Treasure Island, but very grounded (no Disney magic) and features a bunch of real pirates. Highly recommend.

Mud Runner / Snow Runner!!

These games are truck driving/hauling simulators, which allow you to move at your own pace. The only prerequisites are patience and time. It’s very satisfying to explore the maps, unlock new vehicles, and complete contracts together.

I would recommend Snow Runner, which is newer and improves upon Mud Runner’s mechanics.

I am doing a playthrough right now where I read emails as soon as I finish the order I’m currently working on. It definitely helps with understanding the story as it unfolds. And it also balances out the gameplay. Often I’ll finish an order, hit the private room, clear my inbox, save, and quit. A nice wind-down, so to speak.

I’ve dumped a good amount of hours into mud/snowrunner, and I’m wondering what that would mean. Mud, for one. Getting caught in a BT area would be pretty tricky if you were also contending with soft terrain. Icy roads would suck, considering how fun it is to haul ass (and never having to worry about tipping the truck on a turn).

Honestly I would not enjoy shifting and locking differential and all that haha. So much else to think about.
