We have a domain controller which is where the GPOs live. While doing research one of the guides I found which seemed promising I followed.

On the print server in print management I deployed the printer via GPO. I linked it to the GPO per user. This does deploy the printer.

The GPO has item level targeting for each shared printer set through preferences under user configuration. I want IT to only see specific printers. IT has a security group, marketing has a security group. Etc.

I hope that is bit more clear.

I can't speak for all industries but for Casinos it's pretty similar but I'm one of those crazies that thrives in the chaos. I daily run around like a chicken with my head cut off.

To OP, from being in enterprise IT for 2 years now I'd say the reason, like for a lot of things we do is to help the end user experience. How frustrating do you think it is for a new employee having to wait to get all their drives and printers mapped on the first day.

While they suck, when they work it saves and helps a lot of time.

While 5GHz is faster it's a weaker signal so depending how far it may be better to use the 2.5GHz band. Could also be how the wifi site is setup.

Though it should be two separate antennas between wifi and cellular. Don't quote me on that. It's just different type of frequencies so it'd be odd to have one antenna
