It's probably not as difficult as if feels right now. You just don't have the practical experience with thinking/working through problems yet. I'm in the same boat. But I've been in it a long time.
I've been trying to learn coding since 2012. What you're experiencing is the reason I still know next to nothing. I'd get to a certain point and then get frustrated because I was understanding the CONCEPTS, but I couldn't figure out how to apply them to anything, so it felt like I wasn't learning or making any progress. Then I'd get frustrated, quit for a few years, come back, and go through the same cycle again, usually making it a step or 2 further than the last time.
This time I'm sticking to it. And if I get stuck on something I either look up the solution, analyze the code to see what it's doing. Or just set it aside for the time being so I can come back to it after I get more knowledge/experience.
My advice would be to not get too caught up in how to apply everything, because it can be super distracting and demotivating. Most of what we're learning in CS50 is how to think through the problem like a computer does. That's something you're only going to learn with time, so you just have to spend time doing it. And at this stage, most of our time is going to be scratching our heads trying to figure out wtf is going on π. Before you know it though you'll be wondering how any of this stuff was confusing because you'll see it from a more polished perspective.
Pro-Tip: Take lots of handwritten notes through the lectures. Research says you retain information better when you handwrite your notes as opposed to typing them. As someone else mentioned, make sure you're watching the main lecture, and then that private tutor session right after. Some of those will walk you through the problem sets step-by-step and explain what's going on and WHY we're making the decisions we make.
Also! If you get REALLY stuck on anything you can look things up on Youtube. There's a girl on there who goes through each problem set step-by-step. I know that feels like cheating because you really want to figure it out for yourself, but sometimes it's better to save yourself the time, move on to the next thing, and keep expanding your knowledge and toolset. Then you can come back later and look at these problems with more experience.
Also don't forget that even people who have been programming for years get stuck and have to look at tutorials and other resources to get themselves out of a jam. That's just part of the gig. So don't feel like you being stuck is any kind of indication of how well you're learning. Trust me! There we so many times I thought I wasn't learning anything, then came back after a few-years break and it was somehow crystal clear to me.
You're always doing better than you realize in the moment. It's just about being patient with yourself (and the code).
(that was a book π)
Better hope you are a straight white Christian male.
I'm one of those. But I can also see the writing on the wall for whenever all this stuff rubber-bands. So I feel more "Ah crap!" than I do "Aw yeah!" π
Funny how folks will take one scene out of a 1500 page story and act as if it's the central theme of the entire story. A few books later it goes very far out of it's way to say, "We had it all wrong, guys. There is no distinction between jews and non-jews!" And continues to emphasize that into the end of the book.
That was one of the reasons the Jewish leaders hated him, he kept making the people they hated the good guys in his stories. lol
Your last paragraph makes it seem like you're not interested in hearing a different view of those verses, so I won't bore you.
But I do know how and why Christians hate so much. I've been teaching Christianity for 20 years. I also know the handful of religious bigots you see on TV aren't representative of the 2.5 billion Christians worldwide. Just like I know ISIS doesn't represent every Muslim, and /r/atheism doesn't represent every atheist.
People with hate in their heart will find whatever they can get their hands on to give themselves permission to hate. You're doing it yourself with snippets of the same book they use. That doesn't mean it's actually giving them that permission.
There's nothing that needs spelling out for me. I do this for a living.
Absolutely. Including such famous hate-quotes as:
"Love your enemies, and do good to those who hate you."
&
"If your enemy is thirsty, give them something to drink. If they are hungry, feed them."
&
"Do not repay evil with evil, or insult with insult. Instead repay evil with blessing."
&
"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone."
I'm not even sure how anyone is getting anything different. lol

Pearls to swine, my guy. They're not asking those questions to learn, they're asking to accuse. π§Ήπ¦Ά
Atheism is often the natural result of forcing religion on children, so I don't think they'll even have to try to raise their kid that way.
Jesus agrees.
Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you: Moses, on whom you have set your hope.
Here's Harvard's Python Course if you didn't know about it. Whole semester of Python. Free, self-paced, and probably better quality than you'll get on Udemy.
For all we know he kept it for himself. It's not that big of a deal lol.
As a pastor you're probably familiar 2 Cor. 3: "even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their heart." Biggest problem is that they're trying to force that veil onto everyone else.
I gotta admire sneaky switcheroo there. Comparing Christian nationalism to the Taliban (π―), but then immediately conflating that image to Christianity in general. π
Ironically, this is a terrible idea, even according to the Bible... but something tells me biblical accuracy isn't the intention here. π
Obligatory Space Engine comment, for anyone who has $30 lying around and wants to get that kind of experience.
Unless you're Planet Fitness. I signed up easily enough on their app. Only way to cancel is to go to a physical location. There's probably a lawsuit in there too, if anybody wants to take it π.
Ikr. Who counts storage size in Peanut Butter?
Well... that's the last time I assume I know what I'm talking about (for at least a few hours).
Thanks, I'm going to try that right now! :D
Most likely. There's a mod that fixes that, but I'm not sure what platforms it works on besides Steam.
Same problem, I don't think it will work. There's too many limitations on the Gamepass version (which is kinda crazy considering Bethesda is a Microsoft property lol). I think the file structure is different than Steam, too. A lot of files are spread around in hidden folders on Gamepass, where with Steam it's all in one spot.
