The actual in-game save. There’s a separate option when you long press the game — hit “Manage Save File” and a little submenu with the import/export options will pop ip.
You can 100% export the save file to your iPhone’s local files/iCloud by long pressing the game and hitting “Export Save File”. Getting it onto a PC is what I’m not super certain about (Mac user), but I think you can open iCloud Drive on your PC, gather the save from there, do the necessary editsas you please, plop it back into iCloud, and import from there by longpressing > Import Save File.
NP! I should mention that the process wiped my iPad of data, but I had a backup of 17 in iCloud before I installed the 18 beta. So just be wary you may have to do some setup once 17 gets reinstalled.
UPDATE OP: thanks to u/tbone338 who suggested DFU mode instead of recovery, I tried that and I’m back on 17!

Nah, I have an M2 iPad Pro 11” I’ve been using. Thankfully it’s not my main device.
Yeah, I’ve been running into the same issue since Tuesday myself. I spent about three hours on Wednesday night trying to restore and doing all sorts of troubleshooting — different cables, using a different Mac, installing the Xcode 18 beta, but no dice. Every .ipsw I tried in recovery mode, even the iPadOS 18 beta, wouldn’t work. I’ve been using iMazing to get my iPad out of recovery mode every time I try to restore, and that at least has worked so far without issue. But as far as getting back to 17, I’m out of ideas. It doesn’t even seem like I can revert back to the iPadOS 17 public/dev beta path in Settings. A bit rum, this one :/

You speak the truth OP! As much as I love the Skywalkers and the Clone bois, new and original characters are the way to go. Star Wars doesn’t always have to have a character meet up with/be connected to another established character in order to tell a great story.

I just got an iPad and I agree, the app is horrid. Safari + the Sink It extension is much more tolerable IMO.

If it were that, I feel like they should have done a TON of internal testing beforehand and put in the time + effort + money towards achieving that goal, rather than remove standard safety features from cars and continue to sell them without that tech. If we consider that cases of phantom braking increased since they started rolling out Tesla Vision, I’m afraid I can’t see the reasoning behind rolling out something half-baked and crippling their cars to the point where using features like Autopilot have become straight up dangerous.
The autopilot/self-driving/self-parking tech that Tesla promises with their cars straight up does not work without radar and USS. Cameras alone cannot pull in the data needed to make that stuff work reliably, no matter what Elmo says. Even showing the distance from a curb/object when you park is just false most of the time.
