UPDATE: I was able to successfully restore my iPad back to iPadOS 17 by booting my iPad into DFU mode instead of Recovery mode.

I installed iPadOS 18 Beta on Monday. Now that I am done checking it out, I want to restore back to iPadOS 17. I've followed the guide that is provided on Apple's support site perfectly, but each time my Mac begins the restore process, I get an error that says "The iPad *iPad* could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (2006)." After this error, my iPad has been stuck in recovery mode for the past day and a half. I then tried to download the iPadOS 18 Beta ipsw file from Apple, but I was still getting the same error as above. Finally, I tried installing MacOS Sequoia Beta on my Mac to attempt the iPad restore procedure. I was unsuccessful restoring to iPadOS 17, but I was finally able to restore to iPadOS 18 Beta to get my iPad into working condition again.

I successfully restored my Mac back to MacOS Sonoma, but now I'm afraid to try restoring my iPad to iPadOS 17 again, as I might get it stuck in recovery mode again. Has anyone else experienced this before?
