Our little grey cat went missing while she was experiencing some health issues. We posted flyers everywhere and didn’t see any sign of her or receive any calls for weeks. Four weeks after she went missing, we came home to her sunbathing on our back deck, she was a little bit thinner than when she left, but she was back and mostly healthy!

When I was a preteen I had a paper route. I always made sure to put the paper on the doorstep like I was told to. One day as I was setting down a paper an older man opened the door. He smiled at me and told me he loves seeing kids working. Immediately, I had a funny feeling in my stomach. He told me he was going to give me money, he said he would give me $100. As he started to invite me in, my friend that lived nearby yelled from across the street to see if everything was okay. The man noticed then quickly threw me a $20 bill and shut the door. Could have just been a weird encounter, but the feeling I got in my stomach told me different.

I hate when cars stop to let me cross, and I do a double take to check that they’ll actually let me cross they become frustrated with me since I’m not crossing fast enough, JUST DON’T STOP FOR ME IF YOU DON’T WANT TO WAIT

I find when I name my abuser, people that know him immediately say “I can’t imagine him doing that!” or just flat out do not believe me. So now, instead of naming him, when I talk about my experience with abuse I just say the truth, which is that I was abused by someone I dated. I find it’s not worth naming him if people feel the need to investigate and doubt my experience. It’s super messed up that many people’s first instinct is to doubt our experiences with abuse. Fuck that.

I completely agree! In the last 24 hours he’s seemed to calm down quite a bit. His barbels are now looking more relaxed and he’s swimming around confidently compared to how he was before.

All of the cories definitely have their own little quirks, currently working on finding names for all of the little guys. This one in the picture has been named Carl!

Just adopted this little guy today. He doesn’t seem to be as skilled at finding food as my others. I’m wondering if his barbels could just be in bad shape due to the substrate they were using at petsmart or if he’s somehow deformed?

Create a work zone at home! Whether it be a corner in your room or an at home “office”, make it so that it can easily be transformed into your workplace for school. Just as we find it easier to get into the zone at certain places on campus, it’s important to create a similar space at home during the pandemic! It should have minimal distractions, storage for papers/textbooks, and it should be kept as tidy as possible.

Completely agree with this. I see too many people trying to “fix” their partners. Being supportive is one thing, but constantly exhausting yourself and making huge sacrifices for their happiness won’t get the relationship anywhere. It only teaches your partner to depend on you in an unhealthy way.
