The Pink Line has been pretty reliable for where it's located, once you get used to its funny little "5 minutes early to arrive" antics. Usually I plan my walks accordingly with 5< minutes added because of such. Ashland is definitely that one stop that takes 5-10 minutes to even arrive at. Of course, the buses or trains near Pilsen (or any non-northern part of Chicago for that matter) can add a few decades, if not centuries to your commute. :)

Regret, or do not regret. Either way, you will it regret it.

Wonderful explanation! I believe I remember Hegel mentioning the steps of mitosis and meiosis playing short yet critical roles in his method. I'd like some clarification on such :)

Having Piercings Causing Dysphoria Discussion

I have a part of me unlocking a new part of dysphoria: my pierced earlobes! I have days I want to wear my fun earrings and days I can't help but stare at them endlessly as I get ready.

I sort of don't understand the fad of parents piercing their children's earlobes, especially AFAB newborns. Is it a mark of being female at birth? Meant for control over children? These are the same parents who get upset at their children later becoming adults and getting tattoos/piercings at their own will.

"Kant" is so categorically, imperatively fine in that photo 😍 Kantsas my beloved

Touching and itching at my facial/calves' skin usually at home, clapping softly/silently when interacting with others, or trying to position my hands comfortably when in public without talking to anyone.

I realized I am autistic when I went through the Wittgenstein-is-autistic iceberg... Further talk with my parents kinda solidified it.

Rice or beans (both with some form of cheese).

Sorry, I mean crazy people! I'm polite and respectful, but because I'm mainly here for school, I keep being polite to the stranger/classmate I'm talking to but I end small talk (I find it annoying) easily and show cues of being uncomfortable to give other people hints. Maybe I do this because I'm particularly sensitive to people and others opinions on me haha. All in all, anyone I talk to will get a "enjoy your day" lol. :)

Queer person here (both gender/sexuality-wise)! Like others have said, you can change to your chosen name to appear on things rather than your legal govt name. Likewise, you can change your name and pronouns on the Blackboard site where your chosen name/pronouns (sometimes appears for pronouns) is shown in your classes, such as the professor's roster or in discussion board posts/comments.

Most people are fairly accepting as long as you correct them on pronouns. If you're at all uncomfortable, the Behavioral Sciences Building, the third floor of the library, and the Education, Theater, Music, Social Work (Etc etc has many names lol) are full of queers.

If you're a commuter, you'll be fine. Not sure for those dorming at UIC, though.

Don't bring friends to talk to in the third/fourth floors of the library, wear deodorant, shower, and don't even look at someone for a second because they'll assume it means an opening to talk to them.
