I believe I remember seeing a sign that stated Lynnwood Gun handles estate sales, but I have absolutely no clue of the details. Could always give them a call. I am also in Marysville, and will second the other commenter about potential individual sales.

Known distance rangesDiscussion

I just got myself a Bergara B-14 Hunter in 6.5 Creedmoor that came a 12x scope, but I've never sought out known distance ranges. I did a very quick Google search, and it looks like there's a small selection in my general area (Marysville), which is good. Does anyone have any first hand opinions they can share on any of them that have 200+ yard ranges?

Big Iron GymQuestion

Any opinions on Big Iron Gym? Recently moved up here from Lynnwood, and I had an AnyTime Fitness membership but never made use of it. Looking for a new, close gym to hopefully actually go this time, and Big Iron seems right up my alley, but some reviews were 5 stars, and some reviews were 1 star, so I'm just hoping to get some more local opinions.

Thanks!

Utilities owed after move out (Snohomish County, WA)

We lived in our apartment for 12 years. We started paying utilities (water, sewer, garbage) immediately upon move in. We recently moved out and fully expected last month's rent, as well as potential cleaning fees. What we didn't expect was about $440 in utilities fees because we were told utilities are billed behind (4 to 6 months, in this case). Is this a normal thing? It has been so long since I paid any exit fees at other places that I don't recall if that's normal practice.

Location: Lynnwood, Snohomish County, Washington State.

I have the twisty pistol grip kit, which I bought on a whim after seeing a video on it awhile back. I figured it would be another tool in my kit that would see daylight occasionally. While I don't use it all the time, I do have a tendency to grab it and show it off to the other trades when I'm on new sites because I think it's just so damned neat. The times I have used it, I have loved it.

It's convenient for my line of work. I love that it's both corded and cordless. I did notice a bit more power out of a FlexVolt battery over being plugged in, which I thought was a little backwards, but it wasn't a stark contrast. Overall, I like it, and it works well enough. The filter is supposedly washable, and it's a pretty easy machine to clean out. I haven't had it for very long, and haven't put it through its paces, but I think it's going to work out just fine.

Don't tempt me! My tool bag is also DeWalt, and I didn't throw my DeWalt hand tools in the picture. I don't know if the missus would abide me DeWalt'ing everything, though.

I, too, want to know. Came to the comments in the hopes I would find that info.

I guess I figured John owned it from previous conversations years ago at the Lynnwood store, but apparently not. Thank you for the info.

I got the impression John owned it from talking to him years ago at the Lynnwood location. Not like it makes a difference either way, though. Now I know, thank you for the information.

John owned it when they were in Lynnwood, not sure if he sold it after the move. I haven't been to the Woodinville location yet, but I need to check it out.

This particular firearm won't see much use, it's more of a "collector's" item for me. Something I can take to the range every few years just for the novelty of it. The multiple calibers with the .460 is so tempting, but that also means locating and buying more calibers, versus just the .500S&W.

Advice and OpinionsDiscussion

So, I'm looking at getting a functional "showpiece" firearm. One that works, but is mostly impractical for anything but the very occasional range day fun. To that end, I've been looking at the S&W .500 Mag 4", the S&W .460 (4", I believe), and the .350 Legend. The .500 has the most legendary status that I'm aware of, but the .460 is similar enough and provides more caliber options. The .350 Legend was unknown to me until shown, and seems pretty cool.

I'm leaning towards the .500, simply because of its status and I have no doubt it would be fun to shoot at the range every so often. Just to reiterate, this is something I want solely to have it, no other real purpose. I have plenty of other firearms that can serve functional purposes.

Of those 3, what would you choose, and why? Do you already have one of them and/or their various models? What are some real world pros and cons? I'm aware of the ammo process so that's not a surprise to me.

My son was 8 when I took him to the range for the first time. I gave him a very long range and safety brief before we left the house and felt confident he understood everything. He primarily shot the Walther P22 I got for him back in the early 2000s. His range etiquette was flawless, I was so proud of him. He thoroughly enjoyed our range day and although we haven't had an opportunity to go since then, he has since gotten his concealed carry permit and has been looking at getting his own firearms.

I wish I could escape Washington, but between a good job and family here, I'm pretty well entrenched. It's too bad I would totally never circumvent bad laws in various ways to continue to exercise what should be my rights.

I'm a non-union apprentice/helper (OJT to be mechanic, company is working on the education side of things) that does commercial and residential elevators. The company does the whole kit and caboodle, from sales, install, and service when requested. I am currently making a little under twice what you're making. We're also a very small business, with under 20 employees. I think you should be making a lot more.

It looks like he or she wants to play. The initial swipe didn't look malicious, and then they back off. I'd try giving chase in a playful way and see if they run away and then turn around in a different room or something. I chase mine around the furniture and down the hall and then I let them chase me after catching them.

That, or maybe try a toy on a string, that kitty likely has a strong prey drive.

I didn't consider Alexa integration, which would be beneficial if the mechanical chime doesn't work due to voltage. Thank you for the tip!

I'd only need the one. The camera working properly was myain concern, so it's good to know that will work with 16-17 volts. I'll give it a go and see if the chime works, too, or if I need to beef it up. Thank you for the reply, I feel a bit more confident that it's going to work out.
