To be honest I haven't seen Chaos Theory but Camp Cretaceous sucked, so I dont know if I will. Why would I have nostalgia for them? Does anyone? Why get another species of raptor that's basically exactly the same as the iconic raptors of the franchise?
They literally only exist so they could sell toys when Dominion released. That's it.
And the franchise doesn't have to rely on nostalgia, but JP1 is one of the best films ever made. It literally changed pop culture. They should be striving to emulate that formula, whether it be a film/game etc. And not that Jurassic World crap.
Just my 2 cents anyway, going off on a bit of a tangent.
If they wanted to use a smaller carnivorous dinosaur instead of velociraptor, they could have used loads. But instead, used basically the same dinosaur, but worse. And even slapped on the velociraptor colour schemes throughout the franchise. Pointless.
But they're pointless. They were pointless in Dominion as well. You're telling me they couldn't just use velociraptors in their place and it wouldn't be more awesome?
Imagine if they used their respective raptors for each colour scheme. You've got one of every raptor in the franchise. JP1 raptor, TLW tiger stripe, JP3 raptor etc. All working together in a pack. That would've been iconic .
People have given a fuck about velociraptors since JP 1.
Atrociraptors are just a poor man's velociraptor, because they want to keep the veloci's as the "good guys" which is pathetic.
But why atrociraptors? No one gives af about them

The problem isn't the realism of it. The problem is raptors are supposed to be terrifying. Yea T Rex and Spino etc are scary, but they can't follow you inside. They can't open up doors and sneak up on you.
They need to be the villains again.
